Avalon Seafood & Produce Market

Never been here before but my wife grew up going here for her dad. It's a small spot, not a lot of stuff to distract you inside. The food was great, had crabcakes and a Lobster mac. Both were awesome. Now that she found it again we'll stop in everytime we head down here for a weekend.

Got two take out dinners. Salmon and stuffed shrimp were both very good, fair price, and well portioned. Staff was friendly and had our order ready at the promised time.

For a 40 dollar platter, I've had better and more for less. Food was bland, lacked seasoning, 3 shrimps, 4 scallops and thin sliced flounder, and a lobster tail.

Food is mostly decent, but not spectacular. Overpriced for the quality. Tonight though we ordered takeout dinners for ten people and they completely forgot one dinner. The one they forgot (chicken parm) was for the one person in our party who can't eat seafood. When we tried to get it, they told us they forgot to write that one down, the kitchen was closed (5 minutes after they closed) and they did nothing to make it right. So one of our party didn't get a dinner. Too bad so sad I guess.

Always get take out while on vacation. Great portions and extensive menu. There timing is really good- I've never waited more than 5 minutes past the stated pickup time. My wife loves their broiled flounder and the lobster rolls.

Needed a couple last minute ingredients for a recipe... didn't want to trek off shore...Produce market had exactly what we needed.

6/12/24. Couldn’t find anything that wasn’t packed four days ago at the produce market. 15.00 pint of salsa expiring today. Worst part was my family member has severe nut allergy. After confirming blueberry bread was indeed nut free, discovered it was labeled wrong and was actually banana walnut! That could actually kill someone.

I had a very bad experience with Avalon Seafood and would definitely not recommend to anyone. First of all the food is very pricy, which is okay because I was expecting some quality food. However when I went to eat the Chicken Parm I got and took several bites, I noticed the inside was pink and completely undercooked. Avalon Seafood charges a lot for their food, yet can’t make sure it’s properly cooked and prepared.

Walked in and was immediately haranged and harassed by the gentleman behind the counter. The whole experience was terrible and the shrimp I finally bought were tough. I think he thought he was being funny. When I asked for prices, he said nobody in Avalon cares about prices they're all rich. I did not have a cooler with me and I needed to know the smallest amount that I could purchase and how much it cost. He was loud and rude and whoever owns the place should not have him working behind the counter.

Just took back the flounder fish dinners. Probably the most disgusting fish ever tried. They offered to remake it lol. So gross! Smelled like ammonia. Owner didn’t care.Shrimp cocktail was very good.Never, ever will return after several decades of business. Seriously bad.

Standard raw seafood sales during the day and cooked for takeout during the evening. Got an Atlantic Salmon cut (2.2 Lb) and planked it. Excellent. What more could you want? A class act.

Had a small complaint and the staff was extremely accommodating. Great food too, seafood tasted delicious!

Great shrimp and owner is a great guy!

I stopped in recently and let me tellyou Chase is such a good worker! So polite and hardworking on the job! You also must be glad to have him as an employee!
