Fratelli's Wood Fired Pizzeria - Avalon

Only have had pizza and salad there both times. It was two of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I’m picky about my pizza. Eggplant was real eggplant slices roasted, delicious sauce, perfect thin crust. Excellent! Caesar salad was good too. Shared leftovers with friends next day and they loved it too. We had a late lunch post season and were the only ones there which was even nicer than the crowds last time. So we got to speak with the chef who was very friendly and helpful. Can’t remember what we had a few years ago but my friend and I enjoyed it very much, which is why I went again. Will definitely go again when I’m back in Sea Isle City.

Fratelli’s is no longer there. Sign is still up but the space has been taken over by Polpo Italian Restaurant.

Food we got was great, but...Said "we don't do gorgonzola wings in Avalon", even though they were on the menu. Ok, fine.Wouldn't honor a 15% off takeout coupon... said "we stopped taking them during the summer", despite the coupon being valid through July 15, 2022.They have great pizza. But lousy business ethics. I'm not that upset over what would have been a $7 discount. It's the principle. I have no tolerance for dishonesty.

Ordered online and went to pick it up. Arrived right at our pickup time but there were a few people ahead in line. By the time I got to the front it was 5 minutes past our pickup time. Gave the guy my name our order #. After stumbling around looking inside multiple pizza boxes it was obvious something was wrong. He tells me it will be a few minutes and starts helping people behind me.While this is happening another couple come in with a pizza box and claims they were given the wrong pizza. The guy then hands them their correct pizza and give the pizza maker the box the couple just brought in. The guy feels it to see if it’s warm, throws the pizza back in the oven for a minute, takes it out and puts some toppings on it. That was our 3rd missing pizza. After telling the gentleman I didn’t want the used pizza he assured me it wasn’t that one and sent me off. After getting home, it was that one because there was a pile of arugula on it. So we had 2 cold pizzas that were sitting out for over 20 minutes and a used pizza.Save your money and go else where. Takes a lot for me to write a bad review for any restaurant but this place was horrible.

We had ordered take out by phone on a Monday night. The person was fairly rude taking a basic order of 3 items. When we arrived, there was another 20 minute wait only to find out the order was incomplete. So as we waited, two of items became cold. I was also able to observe the kitchen. It seemed very unorganized and people were not wearing masks. As a result, we had to reheat the dinner which was terrible. I would go elsewhere for pizza and other basics.

Only half our order got delivered and when we called the store we were told the driver was on it's way with the second half but once we called the driver he said he knew nothing of the issue. We called back several times only to be lied to over and over again. The second half of the order came after another hour of waiting which was useless since our kid had to go to bed and who wants to get their family dinner delivered an hour apart. The driver just rang the doorbell and left the food on the steps as he didn't want to be confronted. We were promised a follow up from the owner which hasn't happened. Definitely won't be ordering again due to abysmal customer service.

I actually have picked up pizza from here and it was very tasty and if you like a crisp in the crust you'll like. However, their online ordering and delivery service is abysmal. We placed an online order with an expect delivery time. After it was 15mins late from the ETA we called to just check in, and were told "they were doing the best they can", which I can respect but then was immediately and abruptly hung-up on. Then it took another 15 minutes to get the pizza. It came a total of 30 mins after the proposed delivery time and was very cold and soggy.

We decided to get take out from Fratellis Wood Fired Pizza in Avalon. We ordered online. The website and menu were impressive looking, however the order was not confirmed in time so we had to call in. When we called in and when we arrived the staff seemed very busy which was understandable. We had to wait for a decent period of time while the food was left out which made it cold by the time it was taken home. The pizza was just ok, the crust was thin but the pizza was fairly unremarkable. We also ordered oven roasted brussel sprouts which were barely cooked and had to be put on the stove longer to even eat. The calamari was also unsatisfactory. It was tasteless and served one dry shrimp. We weren’t sure if the appetizers were prepped but then never actually cooked? The sprouts were hard and the calamari seemed baked but never fried. We know it is difficult during these times but felt as though we had to give some constructive criticism.

After dinner else were stopped but for a 2nd time in 1 week for galatio good but 2 best flavors not available and lots of flys.

Great little place on Dune Drive. We had a late lunch on Sunday. Cesar Salads and a Large Margherita Pizza. These were the 2 best menu items I have eaten in a looooong time. I thought CPK had the best Margherita.. they dropped to a 3 out of 10. Fratelli's is A 10 of 10. Ene the last piece.. cold.. was delicious.. and I do not eat cold pizza ?

Never going back. Very bad and slow service and apparent "kitchen issue". We didn't even get to eat our food at restaurant because we were so done of a two hour wait just to be served our dinner.
