We enjoyed our meal. My husband found the clam appetizer to be flavorful (broth) and I enjoyed the arugula salad (light dressing). The salmon entree was prepared nicely with olives and light tomato sauce and sizable piece of fish. My husband really enjoyed the flounder/crabmeat special - delicate and tasty. One negative is that the fish special was $10 more than any menu entree.
We had a fabulous easter family dinner here! The wait staff couldn't have been nicer as we kept cutting him off and talking amongst ourselves! As the restaurant began to get busier the waitstaff worked harder! Food was excellent so I imagine the cooking staff was working their butts off too ! And the man who greeted us at the door was very charming! We cant wait to return!
Waiter messed up our order three different ways. Order us chicken fingers instead of chicken parmigiana. Also ordered a salad instead of other appetizer. Way too expensive and to make several mistakes and not offer to take anything off bill or free dessert.
We had to return the mussels because they smelled very pungent (not the usual mussel smell), and one person ate one and spit it out. After we flagged down our waiter, he took them away and said the chef apologized; we never saw our waiter again until the check. Yes, the bus staff took care of us, brought our entrees, and cleared our plates. The waiter never returned until the end; everyone thought it was bizarre. Two of the four entrees were good: bronzino and ricotta gnocchi. The two chicken dishes were very salty, and the chicken was tough.

Polpo took good care of us with a party of 11, including children. The service was great, very attentive. The food was delicious. Not something I would venture to do during the summer as it gets crazy then, but we were happy to have had this occasion at Polpo!

Poppi never disappoints! I love that it is a BYOB. The bread is to die for! Mussels in red sauce excellent. Wonderful specials every night. I had the veal and shrimp special it was wonderful.

This place is always “hit or miss”. Was there on Valentine's Day and service, food and atmosphere was pretty poor. However, was there about a month ago and had a great server and food was very good.

Great experience, service, and food. It was very crowded for mid-February. I had seen several reviews on Yelp complaining about poor service and wait times despite having a reso, but we didn't experience any of that. Will return.
Our first visit to Polpo was fantastic. We started with the burrata appetizer, followed by the spinach tagliatelle with shrimp and langostine for my husband, and the shrimp scampi penne for me, all of which was absolutely terrific. Tiramisu for dessert was one of the best I've ever had. Service was great, everyone was kind and welcoming...what a great meal out should be. We'll definitely be back!

The food here is absolutely wonderful! I've come here with family a few times over the past couple years and each time it's been excellent! Tonight my grandmother and I got the short rib pasta special and it was fall-off-the-bone tender with some incredible demi glace sauce to boot!
