Connor and Heather have done it again; turning amazing fresh local ingredients into world class meals. Elegant and refined yet somehow reminiscent of grandma's cooking. They have curated the most amazing dinner experience, everything from the comfy intimate dining areas to the employees who clearly love what they are doing. Each element carefully and thoroughly thought out. the attention to detail and special touches they add to every experience is truly remarkable. forever mine and my husband's favorite spot while visiting.

Weather wise it was not a great day. It was still raining when we were seated at our table outside. We were a little taken aback that we would still be dining outside, and that it wasn’t addressed or brought up by the staff, but we tried to make the best of it.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for almost a month now but had to give credit where credit is due. My husband took me here for my birthday and it was absolutely magical. The host let us know they had an outdoor table open up (we had a reservation for indoor dining) and offered us the change since we were there for a special occasion. That one interaction set the tone for the entire night. The host, our server and food runners were delightful. The food from the tasting menu was amazing course after course. Near the end of the dinner the owner stopped by our table and was just as remarkable as her and her husband’s restaurant. I promise this is not a paid review – it is just far and in between when you can go to dinner and the ambiance, food and staff are all impeccable (I tend to be happy/settle for 2 out of 3). Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

We were so lucky to get into Summer Salt one of the last weekends of the summer. Wow! We had one of the best meals of our lives! The food was simply incredible. Dish after dish we were blown away by the fresh, carefully curated flavors. Every single item was able to be made gluten free, which was huge! We’ve never had a tasting menu where every item was able to be prepared gluten free, not substituted with a totally different item. Even our 9&11 year olds ordered from the tasting menu. With have one adventurous eater and one picky eater. Both enthusiastically ate items from each section on the menu. The filet and Smores cake on this week’s menu were there favorites.The ambiance inside and on the terrace is charming and warm. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and timed to a science. We also had an opportunity to meet with one of the owners who was absolutely lovely.We will be back next summer!

Every dish we had at Summer Salt on a busy Saturday night was innovative, fresh, seasonal, delicious! This is the only beachfront restaurant in all of Avalon and the ambiance is perfect for a summer night. To top it off, the staff could not be more accommodating - from the hostess, to the many servers and waitstaff, and starting with the wonderful owners who are so involved and invested in this very special place. Highly recommend!

Summer Carpenter
One of the best dinners we had in Stone Harbor/Avalon! We came for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The service was absolutely amazing, everybody was so welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and every dish was better than the next. We sat in the outdoor terrace and the atmosphere was so beautiful. We love Summer Salt and hope to return. ?

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends at Summer Salt in Avalon this week. The atmosphere was pleasant. We sat in the patio, the enclosed porch with open windows that looked over the dunes. We ate a four course meal that was fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent! We truly enjoyed our evening and highly recommend Summer Salt!

Incredible dining experience. Michelin star quality meal set on the Avalon Beach dunes. Just perfection! The four course menu is delicious and the first two courses allow you to taste several different dishes to share with the table. The service was top notch.

Place used to be a nice corner spot to grab food during your beach trip. Now it's a reservation only dinner spot that doesn't open until 5. Seems like a very poor business choice to alienate everyone on the beach for most of the day.

My new favorite restaurant. Our waitress Tara was amazing, very friendly and sweet, knowledgeable on the restaurant and menu. The food was unbelievable, you could taste the freshness and the favor of every ingredient. We will definitely be back for the next menu change. LOVED it and definitely recommend.
