Delicious local eatery with lots of protein options. Sadly, the female chef is a rude lunatic, so we can never go back while she works there. She doesn't know how to talk to (repeat) customers or, well, humans frankly. Our last experience there in July was so obnoxious and vile that we couldn't possibly go back until the chef is replaced. Too bad, as the food is great and it was nice to sit outside. Alas.

We were really looking forward to coming here. Final got the opportunity. Walking in was nice, the store front from the old establishment still working, exposed old time tin ceiling tiles, very cool looking tables and surfboards hanging on the wall. 2 large tables for big gatherings and many smaller one along with outdoor setting. We were excited that it is a restaurant with no gluten and no use of seed oils. Key word, use. The menu is small, that's not a bad thing. Limited choices is easier to order. My wife got the vegetable curry with chicken over rice. It was excellent. I got the brisket wrap, without the wrap and the bison burger, both no salad, I got the salads anyway. My meal was also great !!! I asked about the gluten-free rolls for the burgers, found out that they don't make their own bread. Disappointed... they use Canyon Bakehouse. This company uses canola oil in their products. You advertise no seed oils used. You may not cook with them, but other companies do. Try baking you own please or at least use Against the Grain products, they use good oils.... My wife and I are reactive to seed oils. The one other thing that disappointed me was the owner, he was there talking to a table when we arrived. That's nice. We were the only other people there. I wasn't wanting to meet him for any reason, just, my thought, as a owner of a establishment, I believe that I would have walked over and say thank you for coming and how was/ is your meal. Great food will have us coming back, when in the area...

I love Cavé Bistro!! I have celiac and I have finally found the perfect restaurant that caters to my food restrictions. I am a big fan of NO seed oils, and this restaurant surely delivers on that part. You also cannot beat the price to dine at such a healthy restaurant. The food here was absolutely delicious!! You can taste the freshness and attention to detail in ingredients. Our server Meg was so incredibly upbeat and sold us on the soup of the day! Would definitely come back and hopefully Meg can serve us again.
As an architect and interior designer I think the decor and spacial layout could use improvement.

We have seasonally (almost weekly in the summer) enjoyed this restaurant well before Guy showed up. The grass fed, gluten free options are super important to our family and every single thing we have eaten here has been excellent. The bone marrow burger is unmatched, the meatball with whipped burrata is delicious and the duck sensational. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Overall the food was pretty good. Staff was friendly. No wait with a reservation. On street parking wasn’t an issue. We ordered the meatball app ($16 for 1 regular sized meatball), which was nothing special. Red sauce and ricotta on the plate. Crab cake ($20 for 1 small crab cake and Cole slaw), the green sauce on top was delicious, crab cake also great. Entrees were interesting. Steak off of the specials was great, but only 1 side option (potatoes filled with cheese). I ordered an additional side of bok choy which was pretty good (my first time having that). My wife ordered the salmon with fingerling potatoes (the potatoes are served cold like a salad). Didn’t go well with the salmon. Desert we got the chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. Both delicious. My main criticism is the lack of options for sides, not able to substitute sides, AND the amount of dairy used in their food choices. I say that because dairy and gluten intolerance pretty much go hand in hand. It’s great if you have only a gluten allergy and no dairy intolerance. Nice place, prices high as expected for that area, staff nice, but probably would not go back.

Went for brunch over the weekend and it was a lovely experience. I’ve been meaning to visit Cave’ after I heard it was seed oil free!! Atmosphere was nice, service was great, and the food was outstanding! It’s so nice to find restaurants that use clean ingredients and make delicious food. You can tell they put a lot of thought into perfecting there dishes. Will be back again!

The food here was very fresh, and most importantly, safe for my husband who has celiac disease—which is the main reason we’ll likely return. That said, we had a somewhat odd and uncomfortable experience during our visit.
We wanted to order an additional side of fries but were told that wasn’t possible.
When we asked for ketchup, we were told they were out. (They make their own in-house, which sounds great—just unfortunate it wasn’t available.)
When I asked for salt, the server looked confused, then brought out a large kitchen-style shaker. She seemed amused as my friend and I used it at the table, which felt a bit awkward.
Overall, it felt like we had walked into someone’s home and they weren’t entirely thrilled we were there. The service gave off a vibe that our presence was more of an inconvenience than a welcome.
That said, the food itself was quite good. The truffle fries were excellent (which is why we would have happily paid for more), and both the bison burger and the regular burger were solid.
Thank you for offering healthy, gluten-free options—that’s truly appreciated. I just wish the service felt a bit more welcoming, especially given the premium prices. No one wants to leave a restaurant feeling like a burden.

All I can say is that I’m SO grateful a place like Cave Bistro exists nearby. As someone who eats and cooks with intention—gluten-free, dairy-free, healthy fats and oils, quality meats—it feels like a dream come true to dine out and know I can eat anything on the menu without worry. It’s honestly an emotional experience (kidding… but not!), and the servers are always so kind and understanding of my deep appreciation and relief when I'm dining there. Thank you for leading by example and proving that a restaurant can thrive serving clean, wholesome, nourishing food!
