This was the worst food I have ever had the clam chowder was nasty you had to order and pay extra for bread, when we asked for crackers there were 3 of us that got chowder we got 3 pks of crackers. The soup smelled rancid and not good at all ordered muscles they were ok the bread was like a rock, could not even eat the octopus it was nasty. I have to say I have been to many restaurants at the shore but this one actually made me sick. The bill was over $86. One in my party accidently spilled tea the waitress stopped up a small area did not replace or remove sopping wet placemats for give us any napkins didn't hardly wipe much off the floor leaving ice on the floor. The pants the waitress wore you could see through the fabric and saw her thong. I thought this was a better establishment than this. I can never go back there ever again.

Had the Tavern Steak last night. Absolutely inedible piece of meat. Chewy, grizzly and disgusting. I had to spit out every bite. Nice place though.

Been coming to LBI for many years but somehow never made it to this old time island classic. Finally made it and we were not disappointed and were glad that we did. This place is tastefully decorated with an old saloon and maritime theme, pictures of family, friends, locals and sports heroes lace the walls creating a friendly and fun atmosphere. We went with the goulash, served with egg noodles, mushrooms and beef in a mild cream sauce. We also had Jaegerschnitzel, with the pork breaded and served with spaetzel, red cabbage in a German brown sauce, absolutely wonderful. Service was professional and friendly, I think that I will be coming back on a more regular basis.
Visiting from California and this place was awesome! Food was delicious and beers were cold. Service was excellent and Linda went above and beyond. Very happy to enjoy a local spot and felt welcomed. Walked out with some souvenirs as well.
