This historic site is still developing as a county park centered on the restored tavern which was the center of the last land skirmish of the American Revolution. The inside houses a nice, modern museum for the site and its more than 300 year history. Outbuildings are being reconstructed and restored. Well marked trails ~ 4miles. A big thank you to Joseph for being an amazing factual storyteller and taking us on a fun historical journey! Come visit the oldest standing bar in NJ!
Nice place
Easy to walk around but, there is a longer trail for experienced walkers.
I was unaware of this park. It is full of history.
No metal detectors.
