Ordered a shrimp lo mien and got shrimp broccoli. Mind you I ordered ahead of time for my lunch of 30 minutes. She even re read my orders back to me correctly. Was missing my wonton soup and two shrimp rolls. I’m pretty sure I got charged for that but the receipt machine was not “working” my friend next to me ordered a wonton soup and she said in less then 2 minutes she can have it ready. Then she proceeds to talk on the phone gossiping 5 minutes later she has the balls to look at my friend and say “ what did you order ?” Then say oh wonton soup I’ll do it right now. My friend who is usually a calm person was to say the least mad. And said forget about it and we left. The food is Chinese food nothing out of this world but when the service is like this that makes someone not even want to waste there lunch time rolling the dice seeing if they’ll get your order right in a timely manner. Called at 10:50 for the orders to be ready by 12. I believe that’s more than enough to get two orders and a soup right. Don’t even know if I’ll be give them another chance. Mind you this is like the 3rd-4th time and I’m over it by now.

The boneless spare rib actually tastes like pork. I have never had boneless spare rib from a Chinese food restaurant that actually tasted like pork . This is unheard of. And I'm not complaining. Actually, everything is cooked perfectly. The garlic sauce is the best I've ever tasted also. I tried my daughter's fried wontons and I had to stop myself from eating her meal . I don't think I'll be ordering from other Chinese restaurants anymore..

China King has always been a favorite spot of mine to order Chinese food. Living in Manahawkin for nearly sixteen years now, I have been a regular customer here. The food is consistently good without complaints. Since COVID, the restaurant has been transformed only into take-out rather than dine-in (as once was the case). Nonetheless, the staff here are always friendly and thankful for their customers. Would recommend.

this has to be one of the worst Chinese food experiences we’ve ever had!
If we didn’t drive a half hour home with our takeout food, I would’ve gone back and returned it!
wonton soup completely bland with no flavor. It might as well be water.
The eggrolls were very greasy
The shrimp lo mein was completely dry. Almost no sauce at all on it.
The fried rice had very little flavor and dry as well
The sesame chicken, although the flavor was OK… The quality of the actual chicken was subpar to say the least. The chicken pieces were basically all filler with a little bit of chicken (if it was even chicken).
The pack of fried noodles smelled old and tasted old and stale.
I can’t think of another time where I have wasted $30 so foolishly!
we will NEVER return!
they should be ashamed of themselves, but something tells me they don’t care because they don’t even care about the quality of their food.

Anyone who rates this place badly definitely never went to enough restaurants. Yall arent experienced enough to be food critics to act so high and mighty. This place is good, and they're trying their best.

China King had been around most of my life in barnegat. As an old lady who has tried other establishments, Ive picked them as my favorite. The owners are so sweet and recognize me when I come in, even when I dye my hair. They have the best brown sauce for their egg foo young dishes, and their chicken rice soup is always comforting and delicious. I tend to go basic on what I order, and stick to the gen tso or sesame chicken, but even when I do venture out and try new things, it's always a delicious experience. I highly recommend ordering from them and making them your favorite as well 😁
Vegetarian options: They can substitute many items for tofu, or just take or the meat and add more veggies. Their gen tso tofu is really good and sometimes I crave it, even though I eat meat regularly.
Parking: It is a plaza parking lot

This business has been here forever and it’s my favorite Chinese takeout spot in the area. It’s owned by the kindest family! Always happy to support a small local business ❤️

Ordered General Tso's shrimp, boneless spare ribs and chicken chow mein. Everything was EXCELLENT. I loved the ribs because they were on the sweet side. Will happily order again, and the lady checking us out couldn't be nicer.

Filthy and littered with empty boxes in the dining area. I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known.

Best food! Great prices!! 100 customer service!! Highly recommend!!
Food very good. Beware... Purchased wonton soup (quart with just 3 wontons 4 days ago). I received a discounted price as soup was mostly broth. Today I ordered the same exact soup, but was charged full price and told that it doesn't matter, broth same price even without wontons. Makes no sense.

No frills, just excellent food. The menu hasn't changed in 10 years and neither has the quality. Their egg rolls in particular are phenomenal but you really can't go wrong. There's nowhere to eat inside, not since covid, but the food is amazing, and ready very quickly. One of, if not the, best take away places in
