Nestled on a charming street in one of Jersey’s oldest coastal towns is Sweet Jenny’s, previously known as the Hurricane House. The menu is very extensive, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are daily specials in all three categories. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We ordered lemonade ( very thin and lacked taste) and the Chesapeake and Mediterranean wraps, both with fries. My Chesapeake wrap was delicious and I know it was real, fresh crabmeat as I ate a shell (LOL). Husband’s wrap was just ok, in his words. Our server was pleasant. Tables needed to be cleaned as the lunch rush had just left. Probably would have been better to order ice cream for which they are known. Probably won’t return but always wanted to try it. Still seems to be a popular spot with the locals.

Well first let me start by saying I hope they where having an off night. Took about 15 min before waitress came over then entrees came out before the soup and salad they brought the food back to the kitchen finally brought out the salads then brought the entrees back out which where now cold they did bring us new dinners but by then we just lost our appetite. Not happy I hope they get it together or I’m afraid this once historic place will be gone.

Big portions. But I found the meal was bland or overly salted depending on what part it was. Dessert was better.

Highly recommend Joe and his team for any catering event. I am getting married in October so we had a food tasting with him. Food was excellent- Joe is very professional and fun. Best part of wedding planning is working with Joe at Touch of Elegance!

The best decision we have ever made was to have Joe and his staff at Touch of Elegance cater our wedding! Joe was totally hands on from day 1. Our tasting was a phenomenal experience! Joe answered every one of our questions and even gave us information we didn’t even think to ask. When the wedding got closer he was so amazing with working with me to help me chose everything for our wedding. And the food- AMAZING! It was so amazing that we used him for our wedding and rehearsal dinner. I cannot say enough about our experience with Touch of Elegance, Joe, and the rest of his staff. We had the wedding of our dreams because of him and the Brant Beach Yacht Club! Our guests can’t stop talking about the food! And the amount of food we were sent home with?? Insane! The Tasting alone is worth it! The wedding is Oct. 2021, but we're already so impressed. The food was beyond description, but what really mattered was Chef Joe's energy, generosity, wealth of knowledge, and all around sensational hosting. Working with Touch of Elegance for our wedding was the best decision we made next to getting married. Rebecca and Chef Joe were an absolute dream to work with. It all started with a feast of a tasting, including samples of many, many different menu items. My wife and I are vegan, so they prepared some dishes especially for us. They were willing to make anything we asked them to, and it was a big relief to have that flexibility. We sent them recipes for a few specific vegan things we wanted and they nailed them! The mini crab cakes and scallop shooters were hits, and we got rave reviews about the salmon, pasta and chateaubriand. After choosing Touch of Elegance to be our wedding caterer, we had the great fortune of working with Rebecca as our coordinator. We live in Denver but were married in New Jersey. Rebecca’s excellent and prompt communication made things so easy and left us with nothing to worry about. She did so much more than just help to perfect our menu. She helped coordinate our rental equipment, she guided us in creating our liquor order (which we were clueless about), she handled the seating chart, the table linens and coordinated our DJ, videographer and photographers the day of. Personally, Rebecca is so sweet and truly cared about all of our details. We really felt that she wanted everything to be exactly as we wanted it, and went above and beyond to make everything happen for us. Our wedding turned out to be perfect in every way, and it would never have been the experience that it was without Rebecca. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and all night we got compliments on the delicious food and the relaxed atmosphere. The Touch of Elegance servers and staff were excellent and professional. THANK YOU a million times to Chef Joe and Rebecca for making the best day of our lives truly the best it could have been!
