Nestled on a charming street in one of Jersey’s oldest coastal towns is Sweet Jenny’s, previously known as the Hurricane House. The menu is very extensive, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are daily specials in all three categories. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We ordered lemonade ( very thin and lacked taste) and the Chesapeake and Mediterranean wraps, both with fries. My Chesapeake wrap was delicious and I know it was real, fresh crabmeat as I ate a shell (LOL). Husband’s wrap was just ok, in his words. Our server was pleasant. Tables needed to be cleaned as the lunch rush had just left. Probably would have been better to order ice cream for which they are known. Probably won’t return but always wanted to try it. Still seems to be a popular spot with the locals.

Well first let me start by saying I hope they where having an off night. Took about 15 min before waitress came over then entrees came out before the soup and salad they brought the food back to the kitchen finally brought out the salads then brought the entrees back out which where now cold they did bring us new dinners but by then we just lost our appetite. Not happy I hope they get it together or I’m afraid this once historic place will be gone.

Big portions. But I found the meal was bland or overly salted depending on what part it was. Dessert was better.

Highly recommend Joe and his team for any catering event. I am getting married in October so we had a food tasting with him. Food was excellent- Joe is very professional and fun. Best part of wedding planning is working with Joe at Touch of Elegance!

You won’t find a better meal anywhere near the Jersey shore than at Sweet Jenny’s! Absolutely delicious food, very generous portions and friendly service. Breakfast, lunch or dinner- can’t be beat. Very comfortable atmosphere, immaculately clean restaurant. Highly recommended+++

We are in the wedding entertainment industry & do 40+ events a year. This party was the most amazing food of any event...ever! We are going to order trays of food, just to meal prep at home, that's how incredible the food was! The meatballs were like none I have ever had! Can't wait to order for us!!

Excellent food, great staff words can't express how wonderful everything was at our wedding. Chef Joe is wonderful. They made our day perfect. All of our guests kept telling us what a wonderful place and our food was delicious.
Could not be more pleased with the wedding of our daughter this past Saturday. Catered in full by Touch of Elegance and the owner Joe Dringus. I am a tough New York gal that has done Al the planning for several large catered events. My husband. Bride and I researched available caterers, and asked the managers at several potential venues we were considering whom they recommended. Touch of elegance kept popping up. My entire family ( party of ten) went to dinner at sweet Jenny's in barnegat nj. This is one of the restaurants Mr. Dringus owns/cooks at/manages. We were happy with our choices from the menu and decided to hire for our event. Joe insisted we only make final decision after a "formal" tasting dinner. My husband and I , along with the bride and groom to be , enjoyed all and made the commitment for our party in March 2015. I made an offhand comment that I preferred a different dip for one of the passed shrimp hot appetizers ( he gave us at least 20 different options included) and lo and behold he remembered over 10 months later. My daughter showed him a photo of special style wedding cake she liked, and it was provided at no additional cost. On and on in this manner. Fair price. Fabulous attention to detail. I couldn't have had anything go better. ( except for a chilly early spring day, but I guess I need a higher power than JOE at Touch Of Elegance Catering to provide that)
