I can't recall the name of our server, but he was very poor. It was a good thing We weren't in a rush but even with good food and good company, his service was lacking.

We have been to the Pluckemin Inn several times over the years and as always the service was outstanding. I had the swordfish while my girlfriend had the salmon and we shared a tuna pokey appetizer. All dishes were excellent and prepared perfectly. We shared a dessert, plucky cake, this is where it fell short. This was below average at best. A little bit dry and the buttercream frosting was not creamy at all, but rather stiff and a bit dry as well. The cake tasted as though it was left over from a few days earlier.

Pluckemin Inn is my favorite NJ restaurant. The food is always outstanding but our four meals on our most recent visit were over the top. The sauces on the octopus and on the swordfish were food of the gods. Every course was better than the last, ending with the apple turnover and peach brioche doughnut. Pluckemin is a not-to-be-missed restaurant.

What a nice surprise to find this delightful little spot just off the highway while driving through the area. Might as well have been a million miles away from it all. The food was really very good (we split a lunch special) and the service was excellent. Post lunch cappuccino came with a mini biscotti. If I lived in the area, this would be a great option when looking for a nice lunch in a peaceful environment==great for catching up with a friend.

I have always had an enjoyable experience at The Pluckemin Inn, and yesterday added another. The Peking Duck was outstanding! Service, excellent.

We had made reservations for outdoor dining, but ended up eating indoors at the bar. The bartender was our server and she was delightful. She made great drinks, and was very personable and helpful. The food was excellent. I had the short rib over Parmesan risotto and my husband had the Veal Chop. We also had a humongous side of delicious fries. And finished everything off with the espresso caramel tart. Scrumptious! We loved the ambiance of the inn and the amazing wine selections. Even though it's a 50 minute drive each way from our house, we will definitely return and will invited friends to join us in the future.

Lovely dining experience for a late lunch. Service & food was delicious in a beautiful atmosphere, would enjoy coming for dinner one day! Cocktails were very inventive and delicious as well! Dessert was fabulous and very inventive!

Our experience at Pluckemin Inn for our 35st anniversary was nothing short of fabulous. The menu selections were full of variety and everything was beautiful and flavourful. We enjoyed the grilled octopus and asparagus salad for our appetizers, Scottish salmon and Black Cod for our entrees, and shared the mascarpone mousse for dessert. The ambiance was romantic and quiet; just what we wanted to celebrate our special evening together. Kudos to the chef, kitchen staff and servers.

Wicked fancy, proper fine dining. I went here for a family dinner, and based on the prevalence of seafood on the menu, I was expecting to choke down one of the non-seafood options, but I was pleasantly surprised with everything I ate.

This place has chef's who know how to prepare seafood! Fish dishes were fabulous, perfectly cooked and beautifully plated with attractive and delightful settings, seasonal and delicate.

Went there for Mother’s Day prix fixe lunch which was the first time there. Everyone’s three dishes were phenomenal. So beyond our expectations. A bit pricey for sure but well worth it. Can’t remember the last time I had a meal this good out. Seems like the quality in many restaurants has gone downhill. Will be back!

We are long time patrons of The Pluckemin Inn..years and years and years. Saturday night's meal left us, for the first time, rather disappointed. I ordered what I usually order: butter lettuce salad and the Yellow Tail Poke> The Poke arrived first and I was astonished to find it utterly tasteless. Past times I've enjoyed it so much with that burst of flavor when it hits your tongue...this time, nothing. The Butter lettuce salad arrived with bits of fresh lettuce but, for the most part, was very wilted and unappealing. My husband's lamb special was nothing special..with a mix-mash of flavors overpowering the lamb. Very uninspiring. The only item that stood out was our vodka martini's. I hope for better the next time we visit Pluckemin...we love it there, our usual waiter, Luis and the rest of the staff. The only reason for the lack luster food was perhaps they were concentrating that night on Mothers Day, the next day. So, Pluckemin, you can do better, and you usually do, but Saturday night was a huge disappointment!

Used to come here often. Bar side only.
Went tonight after a few years and the prices are just too high
Over 100 bucks for 2 drinks, 2 burgers...
The cocktails were tasty but weak
The burgers were good but there are better burgers elsewhere
Fries were very good
Bartenders were nice
