We absolutely love this restaurant!! We've been here several times and it's the best Italian food in our area!

Food was excellent, service was a little slow due to it being a busy Saturday night, but we enjoyed the whole evening with our good friends. My friend and I had the shrimp parmigiana with vodka sauce and spaghetti - unbelievable! Order it, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent restaurant that exceeded our expectations on all counts! Service, ambience, menu choices and food preparation were great. All 4 of us were very happy with our experience. We were seated at the time of our reservation and never felt rushed or pressure to leave. Totally enjoyed!

Trattoria never fails to deliver a fantastic meal. There are a million Italian restaurants in NJ - this is our favorite. The unassuming, old-school restaurant draws a crowd year after year, and for good reason. Wonderful service and absolutely delicious food - perhaps the only leftovers we bring home that are always eaten the next day! Thanks for another wonderful evening.

My wife and I went for New Years and when I made my res, I noticed two menu options, their typical menu and a price fixe for New Years. When we arrive and sat down at an extremely small table, our server only presented the price fixe menu. Since the table was so small, non of the plates fit on the table. The first course came out and when the second was being served, our plates hadn't been cleared. We were holding items in our lap in between courses. The food was not good. I ordered the seafood fra Diablo and when it came out, it had one shrimp and a bunch of muscles. My wife ordered a chicken and sausage dish. The chicken was a whole breast, not prepared in a manner you would expect from a white table lines restaurant. The servers were very unorganized and just running around with no direction.

average, poor service (had to request water refilled, unused wine glasses not removed from table, etc.), mussels & clams starter was a small portion, infamous lasagna was just okay (did not care for consistency of meat), squid ink special was delectable, as was dessert. underwhelmed, one time only for us.

Truly a magnificent authentic Italian Restaurant!

One of my favorite restaurants! Fabulous food and really really great service! A lot of food for the price! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We went here for our first (and last) time last night (11/15/25) to meet friends and catch up on our lives.
The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. BUT... it is so overwhelmingly loud that we could barely hear one another (as well as the waitstaff). There’s absolutley no sound absorption qualities anywhere. It’s beyond awful and unnecessary. An easy and relatively inexpensive fix could be done just by adding acoustic fabric-covered tiles to the walls and ceiling. Yelling to hear one another, and each of the other patrons doing so as well, only escalates the uncomfortableness of trying to experience a lovely dining experience. Our friends had been here before, but had forgotten why they hadn’t gone back but only once per year. They remembered why last night, and decided that they wouldn’t return again.
The presentation of the food is lovely, but we all found the food to be rather bland. We each ordered different entrées, as well.
The waitstaff is absolutely wonderful, and the rolls were our favorite part of the meal. Really.
Unfortunately, we will not be going back.

My husband and I love it here. We eat here 2-4 times a month. Authentic Italian food. Owners are from same little town in Italy as my parents. When I'm here I feel like I'm back in Italy. The staff and owners are great! I've brought many friends over the years and they are so impressed! We are blessed to have this restaurant in our area!!

The food is consistently delicious, offering authentic, homemade Italian cuisine with a true Calabrian flair. From the fresh appetizers to the decadent desserts, I have never had a bad meal here. The service is great—attentive, professional, and friendly, without being intrusive. What really sets this place apart is the hospitality, which is beyond recognition; the family-run staff makes you feel like you are a most honored guest dining in their home.

Fabulous is too weak a word to describe the wonderful experience of Food and a Cozy atmosphere at Trattoria Mediterranean!!! We have dined here before and decided to have our daughter’s Bridal Shower Luncheon here. Dominick and his team of dedicated professionals treated all of the guests like family! Each course of food was delicious and beautifully presented. The Chicken Francaise, Eggplant Parmesan and the fish were outstanding. The service is incomparable to other restaurants in the area. Dominick is hands on making sure things run smoothly and on time.The staff is well dressed ,considerate and the ambiance is warm and beautiful. This is a lovely Gem of a restaurant.

Great little local Italian restaurant in Bedminster. The food is absolutely delicious and service is always great! Their homemade gelato is definitely worth trying as is the antipasti misto! The homemade sausage is so flavorful. The carpaccio is super fresh and one of the only ones I will order out. Great for a date night, special occasions, business lunches and small get togethers. Also it’s BYOB.

I wish there were more than five stars to give because this place deserves them all! From the warm, attentive service to the unbelievably fresh pasta, every detail was perfection. It was hands down the best Italian meal I’ve ever had. Thank you for making our date night so special …we’ll be dreaming about this dinner until we return!
