I've always had a good experience here. We've only done takeout. The food has always been good and fresh. Tastes like high-quality ingredients also. Staff is friendly. I'll continue to recommend Ben's.

This place will 100% be a regular go-to for me. The eggplant parm sandwich was the best I’ve had- perfectly cooked and perfect ratio of ingredients. Sweet potato fries were amazing and so fresh tasting. Dan is an incredible chef and you can tell he truly enjoys it. Our server, Allie, was beyond sweet and made us feel so welcome. The owners are genuine, amazing people, and the place itself has such a welcoming, local, happy-place vibe.

The owners are incredible people, and I appreciate how attentive and kind they are. But the food is where this place really shines. I was lucky enough to get to try a ton of items and every one of them was delicious. It’s hard to pick a favorite item but the sweet potato fries and the eggplant parm are amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough

We’ve ordered many times - the food is always great. Ben and his staff are down to earth, great people. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are delicious. We’ve gotten many specials and they are always “special” - my husband just had the buffalo shrimp sandwich and he wishes it was a permanent menu option. If you haven’t already tried this local spot, you are really missing out.

We stopped by there today after a day at the shore. I saw the reviews online, and, since it was on the way home, decided to stop in. They were out of the brisket that day, which was a shame as we would've loved to try it. We started with the garlic confit disco fries. I had the mac n cheese burger and my partner had the roadhouse burger w pulled pork. Firstly, the fries were fantastic. They were so tasty. The burgers were phenomenal! The burger patties were cooked to perfection and tasted so good. The mac n cheese was flavorful. The Kansas City sauce used for the Roadhouse burger was delicious. Be warned, the burgers also come with fries so we had a double dose of fries, but we've no complaints. If you're ever down the shore and want to stop somewhere for a quick bite to eat, don't overlook this place. You won't regret it.

Brought my family to Ben’s Bistro today. Greeted by a woman with incredible energy. She sat the three of us down and handed us our menus. She was very personable and made sure to make our 3 1/2 year old son feel special.

We got 2 burgers and Bruschetta on flat bread. All 3 meals were exceptional. The flatbread especially, overwhelming flavor.

Will return for other items on the menu and will also recommend to anyone looking for a place for great service and food.

Just stopped in for the first time and got the spicy pork banh mi. It was absolutely delicious. I went in between the traditional lunch and dinner hours. So, there was nobody else there. I had a nice chat with the owner as he cooked up my order. Seems like a real nice guy and I hope the business does well. I will definitely be going back and trying other items from the menu.

We were excited to try this place after seeing all of the good reviews and promotion across several Facebook groups. We waited almost six months from when they opened to hopefully give them time to iron out the new restaurant kinks. The good-there were plenty of seats to choose from and service was quick and thorough. They serve Stewart’s drinks and nothing hits the spot like an unexpected black cherry soda. My sandwich was also excellent as was the house made barbecue sauce. The weird-the server was in heeled boots and in and out of the kitchen. I have worked in kitchens for many years and fryer oil splatter turns floors into skating rinks even in slip resistant shoes. I was worried she was going to fall. There was no silverware or s/p shakers to speak of. Cutlery kits and random s/p packets were on the side of the table. Despite all of the positive reviews and Facebook hype, we were the only people there other than one other table on a Saturday night. There was also only one order that was picked up while we were there. The bad-we ordered chicken tenders for an appetizer. When they came out, they were clearly frozen then cooked. Not a huge deal until we started to eat them and the inside was half raw. My husband ordered a burger based on most of the recommendations and added brisket to it. Before it came out, the server came and told us that Ben had looked at the brisket and it looked questionable so he didn’t feel comfortable serving it. Questionable is not a word you want to hear after being served half raw chicken tenders and before eating your entree. Not exactly confidence inspiring. For all the hype about the burgers, it was a pre formed frozen patty with a variety of toppings. Meh at best. The bathroom was also questionable in terms of cleanliness and was out of toilet paper.Wrap up-I hope the owner can turn things around for both his sake and the community’s sake. We need good restaurants, especially on 36 where there are more abandoned buildings than active ones. I wish the business success but unfortunately we will most likely not return.
