I always have the reg pizza iits thin crust. bread is soooo thin and airy crispy and simple cheese and sauce my kids and family love it. I call it “keto friendly pizza” Sometimes i add fresh veggies from my garden - arugula, spinach on top fold it in half like a sandwich wrap and it just hits the spot!

Oh, here's the thing...ALL of the bad reviews for this place got the cheese pizza.BUT... the other pizzas are GREAT!They have a wide selection of white pizzas which are very, very good. The place is called Numero 28, so obviously, I got the Numero 28 pizza. Yes, I also got a cheese pie.The Numero 28, which doesn't have tomato sauce, was lovely and cheesy with mushrooms and speck. Very good, creamy and cheesy. It was even better with hot sauce. The crust was EXACTLY what i wanted, thin, though not cracker thin, and CRISP. The edges of the crusts here don't have that bubbly character from other places, so don't look for it.The plain cheese pizza was good, I can't complain, and it hit the spot, though I've had better. I'll still come back to get it again here. One other high point: the guy working there was great, such a nice guy, and you can tell he loves what he does.NOTE TO THE OWNERS: The white pizzas here are excellent. The base white pies lend themselves so perfectly to a clam pie, to the point where I was surprised you didn't have one. Make a white pizza with garlic, clams, and maybe the truffle cream, and it'll be a hit.

If New York style pizza is your thing this is the right place for you. I’m not a fan of thick pizza, and this pizza crust is spot on. Right combo of cheese and tomato sauce. Everyone one was very respectful and service was great. Definitely a great neighborhood pizza spot to have around.

This pizza was one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. I was hoping for just a quick bite and they were right on top of it! It was fast, efficient, and the workers were very kind.I’m not a fan of thick crusts - so taking a bite into the pizza and hearing a satisfying crunch was top notch. The seasonings complimented the crust nicely and the cheese was melted to perfection. I 100% recommend this establishment.

Based on the reviews I thought the pizza woule be good or at least okay.It was terrible. Had literally zero flavor. Like they use canned sauce and don't add anything. Was so thin couldn't even fold in half to eat it like pizza.I did oder at like 1130 am. I was the first customer of the day. Hopefully that had something to do with. As of now I don't recommend. Right pizza is 100000x better

This is easily the best pizza place in this area. I moved to Dumont three years ago and in that time we've tried every pizza place looking for a decent pizza. I've tried all of the places, I mean all. Everything that had a 4 or above was tried in the towns of Dumont, Cresskill, Bergenfield, Haworth, etc. All of those pizzas aren't even close to 3 stars yet they have 4.5 rating etc. You can find all of those pizzas in the city being sold for $1 a slice. Low quality ingredients and poor technique is evident on every pie and massively overpriced. Bloated undercooked pizzas with 1 inch thick crusts or more. But at Numero 28, you have real pizzas made and cooked properly being sold at cheaper prices than the stuff they're selling around here. A thin crunchy crust with delicious sauce and fresh ingredients. At Numero 28 when they say it's an 18 inch or 14 inch pie. That's exactly what you get. Unlike their competition that boasts 18inch pie but gives you 16 or 14. Stop being taken advantage of by your local pizza place and try Numero 28. I want to thank Numero 28 for providing consistently amazing food at affordable prices as well as great customer service. The cacio pepe pizza is genius and they have a large menu of white pies as well. This place has so much range and the food quality is outstanding. Let this place be a lesson to all of the others that don't think we notice their poor techniques or their frozen ingredients (when we say chicken cutlet on pizza it doesn't mean cut up some chicken tenders from the freezer and put it on a pizza). Numero 28 is going to be the reckoning these towns deserve as long as they keep their ingredient quality high and their prices low. As for the competition, you will need to try harder as there is real pizza in the area now.

Finally tried Numero 28 on Church St in Bergenfield last night and sadly we weren't impressed. We got their regular 18" cheese pie well done. If you order from here, definitely ask for well done because there would be so much flop if you don't. The crust was perfect and tasty. Nice and thin too. Not cracker thin like Grant's or Lido, but thinner than standard. The cheese was salty and tasted cheap and overpowered the little amount of sauce on the pie so I didn't even get to taste the sauce. The cheese to sauce ratio was way off IMO. Their Neapolitan pies look better but I probably won't risk going back and chance wasting my money. I'd rather spend $20 (that was before tax and tip) somewhere else. Thankfully I had 20% off. Also I wish they offered smaller pies.

We ordered a capriciossa pizza and unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. Fortunately the owner offered us another pie to make it right. We got peperoni and it was much better than the last one. I give it 5 stars because of the customer service.

Best pizza in Bergenfield!Went here 08/28/2022. Its a very small and cozy pizza place. Yummy pizza and it was made fresh in just 10 minutes! The employee may have been one of the owners, not sure, but he was friendly and took my order right away.Inside there is just 1 spot to sit on top of a small wood shelf in front of a strong box fan. Not sure if this place once had more seating inside or not, but as of now its just a place to rest while waiting for your order and very little space for anyone else to walk inside.Outside they have nice tables, umbrellas and string lights for having a nice outdoor lunch or dinner.I like the vibrant colors of this place, it makes it stand out from all the bland white, and light grey buildings. The pizza itself is a thin crust, but nice and soft like a regular slice you would find at a regular corner pizza shop and not crunchy like Grant St pizza.I liked the flavors of the cheese, crust and sauce. It was not too salty as someone else stated in the comments. To me, it was a well balanced flavor. The parking is free, but its a but tricky. If the on street parking is full, you can park in the side lot. But you need to drive up the hill away from the train tracks, turn left when you get past a 1way street. Then left at the end of that street. Then left onto a partial dirt road that had about a thousand potholes repaired on it and thats the main parking lot. At the end of this lot is Numero Uno Pizza on the left.I suggest getting a nice plain pie and try it. I think its very tasty and also good to support local, small businesses.Pros:Yummy pizzaGood size pieNice thin crust & softGood locationGreat price $17 for a large pieGood menu selectionGood drink selectionFree parkingCons:No real indoor seating, but its okParking lot can be tricky, but not impossibleLoud trains (no fault of the owner.. thats a CSX train company problem.. they need to stop beeping the train horns in small towns like Bergenfield where homes and businesses are next to the tracks.)Could be a tie for 2nd or 3rd place best pizza in NJ. Best pizza in NJ is still Rudy's in Closter.

Had really high hopes for a new pizza place. Ordered a plain slice to go, was let down. Thin crust is usually a great option but this thin crusted pizza had barely any sauce or cheese. Flavor was okay. I think if they add more sauce at least it will help with it not being as dry. Prices for other items on menu are higher than average in town.

Wow! At last, really great local pizza!! Delicious fresh toppings over a perfectly cooked thin crust.Pair that with a friendly, accommodating staff and we have a new favorite pizza source.Cant wait to try out the rest of their menu.

Pizza has potential to be one of the bests around. The crust is spectacular and even though it was out of the oven for 20+ minutes u can still taste a solid crunch. Here is what's missing.. The sauce doesn't shine at all. It gets masked by a ton of cheese and majority of the bites u taste the saltiness of the cheese. A pizza pie has to have a solid balance where you taste the tomato and u get the cheese as well. Overall if this was fixed and really took the time to perfect the sauce (taste and ratio) it would be the best in north jersey

A new place with thin crust style pizza. Try it for the first time. I ordered the first pie yesterday was so good. Highly recommend

My family are regulars at Number 28 on Carmine Street in Manahattan for well over 10 years and have been to the upper West Side location as well. We live in northern Bergen County New Jersey and have found you cannot get pizza like this anywhere within driving distance from where we live. It is simply the best. So you can imagine our excitememnt when we discovered by accident that Numero 28 had only a couple of weeks ago opened a location in Bergenfield NJ. This is literally 5 minutes from our house. We recently placed our first order on Superbowl Sunday and we were not dissappointed. The pizza was great and the other items we ordered were fantastic. The pasta was fresh and the tomatoe sauce was to die for. Finally, we have great Napolitano pizza near home. Yay!
