I want to start by saying I don’t want this one review to stop you from trying this pizza but I refuse to let what happened to me today be ignored. My husband and I have ordered from here once or twice for a large cheese pie, It was good and we had no complaints. I returned today because I was craving two slices of pizza, I should add that I prefer slices over pies I just like the crispy crust and cheese. I walked in and asked if he accepted card as I’ve never actually been inside before he said yes I proceeded to ask for two plain slices. He let me know he didn’t sell slices so I said “okay no problem, thank you” and began to leave he said that he made personal pies but I said “no thank you I enjoy slices more” he then began screaming at me “it’s the same damn thing a personal pie is two slices” while waving a pizza box around. I was at a loss for words because he went 0 to 100 so fast. I said no thank you again and he continued to curse and yell at me. I was on the phone with my husband who advised me to leave and get to safety as he heard how the man in the background. It took me a couple of seconds to realize what was happening and I let him know “It isn’t that serious and if you continue to treat your customers like this you’ll never have a returning customer” I then asked him if he was crazy to be talking to a woman like this. I left and got in my car and he followed me outside and watched me leave. I was not in fear for my life as I’m young and able to handle my own as a woman and he’s a fragile older man. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day, or if he’s going senile. I think his family needs to check on him because he’s going through something but that doesn’t mean he can take it out on me. I will never give him business again and I’ll make sure my family doesn’t either because disrespect will not be tolerated but I do hope he finds help for his issues.

The Pizza is phenomenal! The sauce is extremely good, and the cheese is so fresh… The best pizza place in New Jersey, and I am not exaggerating. The highlight was the sauce, it is extremely high quality and was extremely fresh. Great Pizzeria.

I wanted to like this place because I was looking for a place that serves beef pepperoni. I ordered a beef pepperoni pie and a mushroom pie. The sauce is too sweet and the mushrooms were not fresh. Disappointing.

The best calzones around. Owner is a great guy, and very sociable. Prices are more than fair, and the food is delicious. A local gem.

If you're looking for a slice of pizza heaven with a side of heartfelt hospitality, look no further than Pizza Romagna. The owner, Sam, isn’t just the owner as well as the actual guy making the pizza—he’s the soul of this cozy establishment, where every visit feels like coming home.
From the moment you step through the door (and I accidentally came across the place and since then he’s the only pizza for me), Sam’s warm smile and genuine enthusiasm make you feel like the most important guest in the world. He greets everyone with an energy that’s contagious, remembering names, favorite toppings, or even the stories shared over past visits. It’s this personal touch that sets him apart.
And then there’s the pizza—oh, the pizza! Each bite is a masterpiece, where you can truly taste the love and care Sam pours into his craft. The crust is perfectly crisp yet tender, the sauce is a flavorful symphony, and the toppings are always fresh and generously layered. You can tell this isn’t just pizza; it’s a slice of Sam’s heart on a plate. His creations carry the unmistakable warmth of a home-cooked meal, the kind that instantly takes you back to family gatherings and cherished moments.
Sam’s ability to blend exceptional hospitality with unforgettable food makes every visit a memorable experience. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, he has a way of making you feel like family. If you’re in the area, treat yourself to a visit to Sam’s Pizza—you’ll leave with a full stomach and a fuller heart.
