We had dinner at Café Vincotto last night for the first time. Highly Recommend.
The atmosphere was great. Nice stylish (not too much) interior, good music at a decent level… we had salmon tartare and grilled octopus for appetizers- both amazing! Branzino and Mahi-Mahi for Entrees and they were great as well.
They are BYOB but you can also buy wine from them (but just from California 🤷🏼♀️).
Above all: the Service was 🔝. It helped that it was Wednesday so not too busy, but we truly enjoyed our dinner and we will be back.

If you're NOT eating at Cafe Vincotto then I'm not sure where you're eating. Tony & Bona are the best hosts to their restaurant. They are not only kind, they treat everyone that walks through their doors like family. It is cozy, has a wonderful fireplace, and each table feels special. Now the food - exceptionally fresh. If you see something on the specials you like, GET IT! It may not last long. The chicken milanese is a great classic, and the octopus is always cooked perfectly. The ingredients they use are sourced individually and are always top tier! Save room for dessert because the Baklava is something I'd eat for breakfast!

Every once in a while you get lucky. I enjoy trying new things, especially new restaurants. Being completely transparent, I have grown to have low expectations, period. I learned a long time ago that if you expect nothing you will never be disappointed. Well, Cafe Vincotto just set the bar extremely high. This place is nothing short of exceptional. From the time you arrive, you are treated like family. It only gets better from there. Tony and his team are going to spoil you. Full disclosure, if you don’t get out much, you will not appreciate the lengths this gem goes to. It is refreshing to be treated so well and to have multiple taste bud orgasms at the same time. Absolutely spectacular in every way. The food gets better and better with every visit. Incredible care is taken by the owners to source fresh food from farms, the fish is wild caught, and most of the menu is organic. There is true magic happening in this restaurant and as a result we return over and over again!!

This was our first visit to Vincotto, but definitely not our last!! We had the Restaurant Month Pre-fixe menu. Lobster Bisque soup to start, Berkshire Pork Chop main course, and European Tres Leches for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service was first class. We loved it.

We opted for the Berkeley Heights restaurant month prixe fix menu. Everything was excellent. Attentive service. Great food. Place was very busy and yet the service was excellent. Very loud inside but not so much that we couldn't talk. Will definitely return.
