What happened ? This used to be a cool neighborhood bar - played great music - diverse chill crowd- now it’s a total dive bar - playing loud rap music exclusively - dirty - creepy - what a shame -

Tiki bar review: we used to love this place when Bennie ran it and we have friends that live further away that loved meeting us here. We have been back three times since Bennie left and each time was worse than the next. Tonight was the nail in the coffin. There were six of us that sat at a sticky high top and waited too long for service. When a woman finally greeted us she was very unfriendly. She took a very long time to bring drinks. I ordered Bennie's famous punch and it was not the same drink. It was awful and I didn't finish it. My friend said his beer was flat. Our sushi orders came wrong and mixed up. One of the appetizers didn't come until after we finished our dinners. No one ever asked how anything was nor did they ask if we wanted another round of drinks. We waited for at least 30 minutes with our dirty plates waiting for someone to ask if we wanted anything or our check. We finally went to the bar to get our bill. We nearly walked out. The place was not busy so no excuses. Sushi was delicious as usual but the service is horrendous. We miss you Bennie!!!

Cozy tiki bar. The decor were amazing. That's the first thing that comes to my mind. There's a bar in the centre and tables and couches around. The couches were so comfy and cozy. We need to get to the bar to buy out drink. Nobody comes to take the order. We ordered a fishbowl for the table and some drinks like island Mai Tai, coco rum etc., Some drinks were too strong. I only liked the coco rum. Service was good. Can definitely visit once.

This review is for the upstairs Tiki Lounge which we have loved for many years. Unfortunately not the same place since founder King Bennie (Benedict Sokolowski) left. Alway loved King Bennie's delicious Zombie cocktail but new bartender insisted on adding bitters which made it undrinkable. And bartender ?Aleiah? was deliberately holding the food orders (to keep the few customers there no doubt). After 45 minutes wait on our sushi I went downstairs to talk to the manager. Restaurant was empty and the manager told me there were no food orders pending. Manager and bartender exchanged some choice words and our sushi arrived in less than 5 minutes.

It makes me so sad because I used to rave about Nagoya. The place has gone downhill so fast. The non-sushi food has never been good but they had really great sushi. Lately they can't keep up. We ordered and sat for an hour and a half last night before cancelling our order and leaving. The friendly , local ambiance that used to be the Tiki bar has changed too. It used to be our hang out. Last night was probably the last straw, I don't think we'll be back. We've watched everything go down hill for awhile (and c'mon owners.... Fix the walls in the bathroom, duct tape is not drywall) ‍.

The worse avoid at all cost bartender working is a crook charging almost 20 dollars for a double then giving attitude when you question. Charging NYC prices for a hole in the wall bar Hard

It’s a super chill tiki bar with cool drinks, warm lighting, and awesome music. You can’t beat pairing primo sushi with bar food either. Bartenders are all great people. All in all a great establishment.

Shrimp tempura had the largest vein/digestive tract broken in 3 peices stuck between the batter and outside of shrimp. Total lack of care when prepping food and gross

Tiki Bar Review Only: My friend recommended that we meet at the Tiki Bar on a weekday night. I'm not very familiar with Morris County, so I left it to him to find a good spot for us to meet up since he grew up in the area. The Tiki Bar is on the second floor of the building, while the restaurant is on the first. Once you ascend the stairs to the tiki bar, you'll see different places where you can grab a table. The three of us - my friend, my partner, and me - grabbed a table with the couch seats. It was chill that night. My friend and I ordered zombies and gin & tonics while we caught up with one another. The bartender was nice. Also, one thing I thought was really cool was that - my partner doesn't drink alcohol and ordered a tea - the bartender was still nice about it. At some places, once bartenders realize that you aren't spending big money on drinks, they become rude and ignore your table (I mean, I get it, small tips, why put the energy in?), but that didn't happen here. The bartender was still friendly to my husband the whole time we were there. I appreciate that vibe. Also, great music :) I would recommend checking out the Tiki Bar. Their cocktails are pretty cool and definitely the look of the spot screams 'tiki bar'. My partner and I hope to be back again for the restaurant downstairs.

The restaurant downstairs is called Nagoya, the second floor is a tiki lounge Call Bennies - a bar atmosphere. You can order off the same menu as downstairs with some Americans style menu options to boot. Good style, lots of TVs going for sports fans upstairs; a pretty nice atmosphere with various comfortable seating and dim lighting. Give it a try. Say hi to Courtney. ❤️

King Bennie's is located upstairs in Nagoya Sushi. I really enjoyed my visit. The bar had a relaxed vibe. It's a full bar but they have a menu full of tropical drinks. I don't remember the name of my drink but it was really tasty! They served the drinks in these cute Hawaiian themed glasses. I would definitely return!
