Not very impressed with the food. I ordered takeout from here yesterday and got the chicken & broccoli which was cold when I got it. Along with that it was flavorless and overcooked. I also got spring rolls which were soggy and had limp lettuce stuck to them. Definitely not work $57.

My wife and I have been coming here for awhile. The gyozas are outstanding. The lunch specials are perfect and the service is amazing. The people are so nice.

Waiter was so nice. The restaurant downstairs is modern and clean. All the sushi and sashimi we got was excellent. The chicken teriyaki bento was great. The ginger dressing on the salad was awesome. I am a huge fan. We will be back!

I'm not a person who likes to leave bad reviews but this will be my first. I called and ordered 3 different special rolls to go. When I came back and opened the bag there was only two container. They had put two different rolls together in one container which I never requested. I called and told them if this was right order and that they had put two in the same containers and that this was for three people. I was expecting to get three separate containers because I ordered three different rolls. So simple! To my surprise the lady on the phone said totally something unexpected by telling me that I have to tell them to don't put them together in the same container?!? Like what!! She told like it was my fault that I didn't remind them to put them separate. Seriously nonsense!! And it was three rolls so how did they even know which ones to put together!?!? Really!! I believe customer service is the most important when running any kind a business and this place has none.

Not a bad spot for sushi. Parking is located in the back which is at first confused but definitely convenient once we found it. Interior is clean and service is nice. Food is not bad. Stir fry udon noodles are delicious but come in a small portion. Sushi is pretty good and rice portion is even but the seaweed is a little chewy. Prices are on trend with other places and the presentation of the rolls is beautiful. Would want to go back to try some more rolls for sure. Also I saw there is a tiki bar upstairs that I would want to check out!Now for my standard comments as of December 2023. Interior is clean and seating is well distanced.

We must have gone to Nagoya when it first opened. We didn’t think much of it. The service was slow and I think we were the only ones there at dinner hour. Tonight we went to see how it was going. A very pleasant surprise. Service was quick and sushi samishi dinner was very good. The rice was moist and the fish tasted fresh. The restaurant was close to full. Good for them.

Recommend the Sakura roll. Pork Gyoza was a hit with the kids but they found the fried rice to be “mushy”. Seated quickly at 7PM on a Saturday. Service was attentive. Overall enjoyed the experience.

Located in the downtown area of Berkeley Heights is Nagoya . This place is both a restaurant and lounge located on the 2nd floor . I ordered off the A La Carte menu and the nigiri rolls themselves were completely fine and fresh . For me,the reason I rated this place 2 stars was due to where I sat ( that being the sushi bar ) and the service. I opted to sit at the sushi bar and the first thing I noticed, was the bar countertop itself was very sticky. It was sticky to the point that my cups were adhering to the surface a little to well lol . Second was the service. Attitude and demeanor wise , it was good . I had an issue with the server taking my order down correctly . I ordered 10 nigiri rolls but only received 8 pieces. And due to a language barrier, it took me a considerable amount of time to explain to the wait staff that I was missing pieces. While that mess was getting sorted out by one server, there were multiple customers coming up to complain that their orders too were not filled accurately ( i.e. the chef made the wrong rolls or some components were not present) Maybe the restaurant changed ownership or maybe it was a new staff, but those details to me matter which is why I'm rating them the way I am. When someone takes your order it should be accurate and communicated appropriately to the chefs. I shouldnt have to "beg/ ask for" missing pieces.

Food is way below average in taste. We ordered 6 items and they were all 1-2 stars. Sesame chicken was not even edible. Special roll was so tiny that it shouldn’t be even called a special roll.Giving 2 stars just because of the fun bar upstairs. If you are looking for a tasty food go somewhere else.

Sushi was good, fresh. Plenty of unique specialty rolls. Stick to sushi, had a hot appetizer that was very underwhelming. Has bar with good cocktails.
