Food was horrible. It tastes bad, never had such food in any of the Indian restaurants in NJ. We had visited this restaurant several times before, and were always satisfied with the food. But yesterday we were very disappointed. We came for dinner, and not only the food tasted bad, it was also stale, as if the afternoon leftovers were just heated and served. Won't visit again.

I love this place. Food is always good but today, it was exceptional. Had the pleasure of meeting the chef. Too bad i forgot to get his name. The place is homey and lunch buffet is amazing!!

Went for a family dinner. It was excellent food great service and very pleasant atmosphere. Loved it. Would highly recommend it.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time and finally I’ve set down to do it. We’ve been going to Neelam's, in Berkeley Heights, for many years. The East Indian cooking is extraordinary and is a real cultural experience. For those of you who have not experienced East Indian cooking yet will find a wide variety of exceptional foods and the people there are always happy to help with ordering. From Tandoori to curry all the dishes are wonderful and made fresh. Marc Meyers.

omg this is my fav place in the entire country for indian food. my go to is always meat samosas and a butter chicken but literally EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. the service is also truly incredible with some of the most welcoming people i’ve met to date. i could keep raving forever but to sum it up: this is the place i ask my parents to take me the night i get home from being at school and the night before i go back. nothing tops it

Another delicious meal this past Saturday at this local treasure. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and they made great recommendations. Always a variety of options for a mixed table like ours (vegetarian and meat-eating). Yum!

I’ve ordered takeout from here a couple times and the food is delicious, but I’ve ended up waiting 40 minutes at the restaurant after the food is supposed to be ready for pick up. Staff is friendly, just unfortunate that the food has not been ready on time. Hopefully not a normal thing.

Maybe try eating there instead of takeout. It’s a nice place.

We organized a small event at Neelam, and our experience was great. The food was very good, and the staff (Arif in particular) went above and beyond throughout. The owner gave us access multiple times before the event, which made party planning much easier. Thanks Neelam!

I ordered food for pickup and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes after ordering and still had to wait another 20 minutes. The food took too long to prepare, and they clearly prioritized dine-in customers while ignoring pickup orders. We won't be coming back.
