I go with my wife to this restaurant quite often! This is my favorite restaurant to pass a nice evening. I go there routinely. The meals are just great, the workers are professional and the payment is fair. I like eating in this restaurant to have a tasty lunch.

I ordered the chicken and rib lunch platter with beans. The food was tasty and savory. I generally have a large appetite and was satisfied with the meal. My only relatively minor complaint was that the chicken could have been a little less dry.

They are not as good as they use to be. The salmon steak is split in half instead of the whole piece given to you before. They must be under new management. I dont see the normal crowd that use to flood the establishment. I'm disappointed and will not be returning.

I'm stumped as to what to post here. When the service is good, this place is excellent. But the service is spotty at best. The owner, who also owns a Chinese restaurant in New Prov, can't seem to keep her staff. I think she supplements O Porto with the cooks from the Chinese restaurant. Sometimes orders are incorrect. Sometimes it takes multiple calls before someone answers the phone. It's truly a shame because the food is the best Portuguese BBQ in the area. The owner needs to spend more time running this restaurant and focusing on the staff so there is constant service and quality. If that happens, I'd raise my review to 4-stars.

Ordered the paella, on the menu it says "Chicken, shrimp, and chorizo." What it actually was, was shrimp and mussels with rice. No chicken or chorizo at all. Two stars, one for rice and one for shrimp.

Probably one of the Worst places to eat in Berkeley heights nj. Only one guy speaks English there, and he's almost never there, the guy who cooks the food REFUSES to not overcook anything on the menu. I had to argue with the guy that the ALREADY BURNT food was well past done, and he insisted that it needed 20 MORE MINUTES! They cant even understand the word shrimp. I had to grab a menu and point to the word,when I realized he could tread English either. He started cooking a piece of chicken, and I had to essentially go around the counter and point to the shrimp. Zero stars
