Aunt Berta's Kitchen Too

The restaurant is always clean, I even tried sneaking a peek at the kitchen a few times on my way to the restroom you can see back there a little bit and it looks clean from where I was. Their restroom is clean as well.
They are pretty consistent considering it’s not some chemical fast food combination like McDs. The customer service is great so it keeps me coming back from time to time. I went in on 12/7/24 around 7:30pm they were getting ready to close and I couldn’t call to make an order ahead of time, so my pregnant self took a few minutes to get there to order. I thought they would be closed so I was apprehensive upon entering. The service was professional and the staff were pleasant and got my order out right away.

I have been to places where I could see and feel the annoyance on the staff faces, to the point I find myself apologizing for only god knows what. That was not my experience and I am happy to write about it. I don’t like leaving reviews good or bad so…

Ordered 3 beef ribs, receiced 2 complete, 1 mostly bone. Wife's fried 3 chicken pieces were very small, potato salad - excellent, collards-very good!

Had their wings for the first time tonight and they were amazing!!!! Very meaty wings and the sauce was. Delicious. Highly recommend the wings!!

Live super close and was so excited to try! Food was excellent for sure. Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, pork ribs, fried chicken wings. All wonderful. Ordered for pick up and was ready on time! Cashier did not seem to like me lmao but food was good

It has been a while since I had Aunt Berta’s food. I figured I would treat myself to a platter. I got the mix and match which I selected the smothered pork chop, famous turkey wings with sides of Mac and cheese and greens. As soon I tasted the smothered chops, I noticed that it was a poor and fatty cut of pork chop l. The gravy that it was drowned in was extremely salty! I went to the turkey wings which is usually on point but noticed an odd and old smell to it. I bit into pure disappointment and dryness. I probably could have dealt with the dryness if it didn’t have that odd smell. To best describe the smell, it reminded me of the smell of old potato chip that have that stale smell. . The sides were just okay but nothing to write home about. I was so disappointed that I ended up throwing the entire platter in the garbage. This platter was not cheap either….Poor customer service and bad food is the recipe for disaster… Do better!!!

I don’t know what is going on with them but food is getting worse and worse. I really need to stop being lazy and make my own soul food. This is not soul food. Everything had sugar in it to the point you can just taste sugar and a little bit of salt and pepper. I’m done supporting businesses like this only to be disappointed every time.

The food has become cheap no one takes your order right. Food cold . Charging people up. And it's not worth it . I loved the food so I said it 3 times I'll try it out and see if it was just me all 3 times food was disgusting
