The fairest comparison is the Black Horse Tavern in Mendham and The Station by FAR has waaaaaay better food. It’s upscale bar food, so this isn’t Ristorante MV or anything. But, for a casual meal with kids or a family or a big group, The Station wins on quality and taste. Ceasar salad and wings were delicious, kids had buttered pasta and mozzarella wings and ate it all. Oh and the apple pie was crazy good - perfectly crusty crust!

Go to The Station!!

Try to avoid this place at all costs. We wandered in mid day. There was one other table there. We ordered wings, Coffee, pizza and water with no ice. It was a chilly day, they had no hot tea.
The only thing the server got right was the wings. We got water with ice, a sandwich wrap instead of a pizza and no coffee. We had to ask again for coffee which still took a while. And had to ask twice for the check. They weren't busy, they just didn't care much. The wings were very mediocre, the pizza was the worst pizza we've ever had. Our drinks were not refilled at all.

Overall, the servers dont pay attention and the food is sub par.

Jalapeño margarita was spicy but things went downhill after that. The homemade veggie burger was just a puddle of mush on a bun lacking any flavor or texture. Tried the octopus salad— big mistake, octopus chunks were like chewy hockey pucks.

We stopped here for dinner while traveling. The place was packed and had live music outside. The spinach salad was very good and very satisfying and my adult dining partner enjoyed the cobb salad. The pizza was good by my kid's standards but not crspy enough for my taste. The pretzel bites again were enjoyed by my child but kind of tasted like the ones you microwave from the tub at the supermarket. For some reason the fries were awful and tasted like they were stale, which is kind of baffling for a burger and fries place that is moving a lot of food and I just had to send them back. The server argued with me about the freshness, which I also didn't love. I have eaten a fry before. I would have been happy with even a soggy fry if it was fresh, but not something that tastes like it has gone through defrost multiple times. Overall, it is a great location and seems really family friendly but the food was mostly disappointing.

The Station in Bernardsville was a great happy hour experience. The location is super convenient—right across from the train station—which makes it easy to get to. The space has a relaxed yet stylish vibe, perfect for casual meetups or professional gatherings. Great drinks, awesome appetizers, and a comfortable atmosphere made it a solid spot for connecting with others. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

The Trainwreck burger was fantastic. Others also recommended the burgers here.

We are a regular there for their signature spicy margarita drinks. Home made Jalapeno spice into a delicious margarita. Excellent american style foods. Always great service with a smile, so accommodating. Geraldine, Angelo and staff are always so welcoming, with a hug and a smile. Geraldine is a firecracker with infectious energy and laugh. Great place to hang with friends or family.

Garbage food.
Me, wife & 2 teen boys.
Dinner after boys Monday night football game. We all worked all day, school , game. Starving!
I
Ordered the hanger steak. Tasted gamey. If you told me it was venison, I would understand. But it was beef. I took 2 bites and stopped eating. It was that bad.
Wife ordered chicken Milanese. One son ordered a burger, the other ordered fish and chips.
All of us, 2-3 bites . Couldn’t eat anymore. Garbage.
I’m sorry for the bad review, but if you’re the owner of this place and wondering why your place is empty on a Monday night…It’s the food. Terrible. We had wings for a starter , the wings were good.
