Visited on 8-23-25 bar was not crowed I sat at the bar and after waiting approximately 15 min 3 young men came in sat next to me and were served as I continued to wait. At this point I got up an left this is the second time in less then a month that I went to the HOB and had horrible service I think you need to clean house and get new bar tenders or you are going to lose more customers

We had a great dinner here. The food was really good. Mixed group so the vegan options were appreciated and enjoyed. Good beer selection. Dive bar atmosphere. Service was not good. There was barely anyone in there yet we had to keep asking for things instead of being checked on. Sat there for a long time before we could even give our drink order, let along the food.

A+++ The HOB tavern is a CLASSIC NJ bar!!! I go out of my way to stop by there when I'm in B-Town. Great selection of local craft beers and the food is as good as you will find anywhere at any price!!! Cooked to perfection and plated like they're doing a photo shoot. They have live music sometimes and a nice mixed age crowd. You can't go wrong stopping by, here!!!

Me and my friend went in had dinner and drinks were having a fun night with people in the bar. Owner came and flagged my friend. He was far from drunk. We have been here Many times and always had fun. Totally will think about going there again.

If you’re not a local, you may not have a good time. The bartenders pick and choose who they like and how they’ll serve you. Management should work on that. If you want to be the “hub of Bordentown” don’t hire people who are judgmental of others in town (not gonna name names) people should be able to come here and feel safe. The crowding and bad service here makes me feel very unsafe. MANY better bars in town. Sorry HOB, I wanna give you love as a local but I and many others in town do not like going here, mostly because of rowdy uncontrolled crowds and MOSTLY bartenders who prioritize some and ignore others.

BORDENTOWN CITY: we are so happy a local told us about HOB Tavern because it is an awesome restaurant that is dog friendly! HOB Tavern is a cozy pub with one big bar that serves up American-style food, including vegetarian and vegan options. From wings, pretzels, tots, to burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more! They also do catering! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside, which is the best! It is a tight space around the bar, so have control of your pup so they do not get underfoot. There is also covered outdoor seating in the beer garden. The chicken cheesesteak and “big fat lie” vegan burger entree were delicious! Our server was also awesome! If we lived closer, this would be our hangout every day!
