Bartenders here were rude and nasty. I waited a long time for a drink, and when I asked about the wait, I was given attitude from a bartender whose name I don’t recall when asked but starts with an A (possibly Amana). I won’t be returning.

The quality of the food was disappointing, and the drinks were not up to the expected standard. Service was slow and the bartenders seemed overwhelmed. Wait times to get a drink were lengthy on a Thursday. The atmosphere felt off, very uncomfortable. I will not return.

What is there not to love about the HOB! First date became a marriage and yearly celebration at the place where it all started! Excellent food, awesome crazy shot suggestions that taste great and some pretty damn cool bartenders! PB&J wings are slamming with flavor! Get there early, stay late, it's always a great time!

Went here on a Friday night & they had live music and it was decorated for Halloween. food was great and staff friendly… They have a wheel you spin for a gamble shot that we spun a few times that had festive shots / gamble shots… Not a dine in place more like grab wings high top table kinda joint.

Visited on 8-23-25 bar was not crowed I sat at the bar and after waiting approximately 15 min 3 young men came in sat next to me and were served as I continued to wait. At this point I got up an left this is the second time in less then a month that I went to the HOB and had horrible service I think you need to clean house and get new bar tenders or you are going to lose more customers

We had a great dinner here. The food was really good. Mixed group so the vegan options were appreciated and enjoyed. Good beer selection. Dive bar atmosphere. Service was not good. There was barely anyone in there yet we had to keep asking for things instead of being checked on. Sat there for a long time before we could even give our drink order, let along the food.

A+++ The HOB tavern is a CLASSIC NJ bar!!! I go out of my way to stop by there when I'm in B-Town. Great selection of local craft beers and the food is as good as you will find anywhere at any price!!! Cooked to perfection and plated like they're doing a photo shoot. They have live music sometimes and a nice mixed age crowd. You can't go wrong stopping by, here!!!
