Overall we enjoyed our dining experience. The veal chop parmesan was delish. The Filet was the best ever according to my son. The bacon app was a hard miss with no synergy or the flavors playing off one another, just weird. The spinach with garlic and oil was a miss as well, very pedestrian. The French onion mashed was awesome. The bread pudding was very good.
Wonderful service & ambiance. Apps were delicious. Filet slightly under-cooked. Pork chop was cooked to perfection. Pricey but still worth it once in a while.
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Tuscano in Bordentown with friends. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We had a reservation and our table was already set and waiting for us — and it turned out to be a great table, which immediately set the tone for the night. Our server was fantastic: super friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. We started with a round of drinks that were excellent, followed by a few appetizers for the table. The calamari was hands-down the best I've ever had — perfectly cooked, light, and full of flavor. For dinner, we had the chicken francaise, the NY strip, a side of pasta, and asparagus, and every dish was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented — truly restaurant-quality in every sense. We finished the night with incredible desserts that were the perfect way to end an already amazing meal. What really stood out was that we never once felt rushed. It felt like a true dining experience, not just “going out to eat.” A genuinely 5-star experience from start to finish. We can't wait to come back again!
Love this place. Will never stop visiting. The head chef is a genius and the service is impeccable.
Ordered bone in filet special and ribeye both medium rare. Both steaks came out so raw the food runners were trying to cook the steaks more on the plate before they even asked if the temp was ok but it didn't make a difference. Sent them both back and they came back well done on the outside and medium rare on the inside. Every bite was tough and chewy I couldn't eat it. And the sides were cold by the time they recooked the steaks. We've been here 7 times before and never had this issue but I wouldn't go back now.
Had a reservation at 8:30 but stood waiting by the cramped door for an extra 15 minutes. We called ahead making sure the 8:30 reservation would be okay since we know they stopped seating at 9. We were reassured it would be fine and that our table would be ready at 8:30, it's just when they stop seating, and we wouldn't be rushed. However once we were finally seated, we were told by the waiter that he needed our order ASAP and were rushed to put everything in before the kitchen closed. Waiter was unenthusiastic and truthfully uninterested it seemed, making the whole experience awkward and rushed. The 35 dry aged ribeye, being one of the more expensive if not the most expensive menu item, was severely underwhelming. It lacked proper seasoning, almost as if they slapped it with some rosemary a couple times and called it good. Wasn't tender, wasn't worth it even slightly. The duck fat poutine were drowned it what was an overly salty gravy, defeating the purpose of being “fried in duck fat” because the flavor and crispiness of the fries were completely destroyed by the swimming pool of gravy it was in. If you want a good a steak with better service, go to Texas Roadhouse.
We were seated upstairs with 3 other tables by a door where chairs came in and out. The room was absolutely freezing and made for a miserable time. Food was ok and portions were large but I certainly do not feel the need to return.
The best steak I've ever had coupled with excellent northern Italian selections makes Toscano a foodie's paradise.
Don’t go there if your Mexican and run out of there if you have a Latino waiter !!!! He was the rudest waiter I have ever had. We had reservations at 5 pm on December 26 reservation for 13 people . The minute we got there he seemed bothered that we were there. We were missing chairs we ask for more he seemed bothered. If we asked for something he seemed bothered . He would throw the spoons on the table ,he dripped the juices of a meal next to me had to use my napkins ,which I know we all make mistakes but didn’t even bother to bring me another napkin. I don’t know if he thought we were broke Mexicans but he needs to know not to judge the books by its cover . The table was fool of veteran army ,air force, retired police officers and active military!!!!! Its a shame my family got treated like this at a prestigious restaurant, will never go back because of this rude waiter .Its more shameful that he was Latino !!! If the owner or manager of this restaurant reads this review I hope you keep an eye on your waiter because he can keep people from coming back !!!! It’s shame very disappointed

If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable meal, Toscano in Bordentown, NJ is the kind of place that sets the bar. I finally got to try it after hearing rave reviews, and let me tell you—it absolutely lived up to the hype.
Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the flavors, the quality, and the whole experience are worth every penny. This isn’t food you can recreate at home. The service was incredibly fast and attentive, without ever feeling rushed. Our server knew the menu inside and out and helped guide us to what ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
Let’s talk food. The root beer pork chop—I’m still thinking about it. This is no ordinary pork chop. It was so tender I could almost cut it with a fork, and somehow, it was juicier than any steak I’ve had. The flavor was out of this world—sweet, smoky, and savory in perfect harmony. Paired with a side of their French Onion Soup, heaven is right around the corner with this combo. If you go, do not skip this.
That said, the steaks here are also incredible—some of the best you’ll find within a 30-minute drive, easy. They come out sizzling on a 500-degree plate, perfectly seared and full of bold, beefy flavor from their in-house dry aging.
And then… the butter cake. I honestly think it might be the best dessert I’ve ever had. It comes out warm, with a creamy, cinnamon-kissed richness that’s so intense, it’s almost too decadent to eat alone. (But that didn’t stop me from trying.)
Because Toscano is that good, it gets busy—so definitely make a reservation if you’re planning ahead. If not, the bar area is a great backup for a more casual visit, and the food is just as amazing.
Bottom line: Toscano is worth the trip, the price, and the planning. It’s that kind of special-occasion place that delivers every single time.

Steaks overpriced generally; while the bone-in sirloin at $64 was very good, the bone-in ribeye at $84 was more fat than meat. Salads were limp & overdressed. Brussels sprouts were burned beyond being edible. Nice selection of wines but the $19 Manhattan was ineptly made since it was missing essential ingedients. Service was good but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
