Nope Nope and Nope. Been to Mexicali Brews a number of times and I liked it enough to go back, but not after last night. Food quality down, party of six all agreed. Food not cooked or warmed all the way through, tasted like frozen fish, rubbery and the tacos were thrown together like I could have gotten in the frozen food section of a supermarket. Guacarizo, nachos, and margaritas. So good!
We went to Trivia Night tonight with a group of friends and had a blast!! We are already planning on attending another one soon!! Everyone loved their meals-fajitas, tacos, Mexicali salad, burritos, etc and drinks…especially the margaritas. To top it off, we had some delicious desserts-flan, fried ice cream, tres leches cake, churros, and the special tonight…key lime pie. We can’t thank our waiter enough for being so wonderful!! Mexicali Brews is a Mexican restaurant gem with impeccable service and delicious food. The chicken fajitas were bursting with flavor and the atmosphere was welcoming for all. Fresh guac and chips, coconut margaritas, chicken nachos, quesadillas, Mexican salad, and enchiladas were all yummo! The bartender, Maureen, made a perfect margarita. A great spot for a Cinco de Mayo celebration or any time you want a fantastic meal and experience.
