This is an occasionally pit stop when heading home from visiting the poconos. Good sandwiches, very reasonable prices and it has a small town feel. This past Sunday we stopped and for the first time I checked out the backery, I was thinking cookies and saw the Dutch Apple pie, I can't remember the last pie I bought, and was taken back at the price. In the end, it is worth every penny, it is sweet, the pie stands up, no soggy mess, firm apples, cut to perfect bites, the crust, which usually is my least favorite part, was as enjoyable as the filling and the
crumb topping makes me feel like it's 2 deserts, it's good cold or warmed up. I will be killing it tonight and I may shed a tear.

They forgot to put my cookies in the bag. A bit pricey. Otherwise excellent!

Such a great place. They had extra so I got a free cheesecake sample. I tried the raspberry sour cream pie pockets, a blueberry one, raspberry rugelach, pecan chocolate chunk cookie, chocolate cannolo, and almond tart with raspberry filling.

Just paid 40 dollars for a turkey with Swiss sub and an Italian sub . When we questioned the price we were told it’s because we added olives and changed the cheese. Can’t wait for firehouse to open back up . Do yourself a favor. If you’re ordering over the phone demand to know the price. Then cancel when it’s insanely expensive.

Very sad experience really ..... I have frequented Yellow Cottage since moving to Sussex County several years ago.... Despite the rather hostile reception in general and the high prices, I believe in supporting my local businesses and the bakery items are very good. However, after my most recent experience I shall never go back.

A couple of weeks ago I called in for 3 sandwiches on their delicious Torpedo rolls. Mind you these sandwiches are not huge but were tasty and at $20 for all three, seemed a reasonable buy. A few days later I went back for the same 3 sandwiches and decided to expand my order to FIVE sandwiches ... identical to before, and was charged $82! How can this be, I asked? The server adamantly said that's what they are and Jacqueline (the owner) overheard the conversation and decided to say nothing.

It was a ham and cheese sandwich with mayo and a sliver of onion ... no gold flakes!

Ive been in about 10-12 times over the last month, the food has always been delicious, why else would i keep coming back to spend my money? However, two of the workers are incredibly rude. The first 2-3 times, I wanted to give them some grace, you don't know what kind of day somebody has had, so I try not to judge. Yet the attitude never changes, i have yet to see either of these women even smile at a customer, let alone greet them with a hello. I've only ever been greeted with "what do you want?" and "are you done? is that all? let's go" in a snippy tone. when i say thank you + have a good day, i'm answered with SILENCE, or maybe a "hmp". i've worked in every form of customer service there is, so I really do understand having a bad day, but if you're going to be miserable and nasty just because you have to do your job, maybe find a different field to work in. I also want to add, there's a young girl with dark/red hair, and she is always kind and gentle. It's the two older women (one taller with red hair, and one shorter with gray hair) that have disgusting attitudes.

Owner is very rude when I have called multiple times to place orders. If you can’t handle making simple breakfast sandwiches then why own a deli. Someone should get Trunchbull away from the phones.
