I'm going to have to be honest: yes, the fried chicken can be delicious, but getting from Chicken Town on a near-weekly basis albeit only short-term shows the inconsistency of the kitchen. We've had two experiences with undercooked chicken that we had to continue cooking in the oven, as well as a fried exterior that tasted either like old oil or oddly overcooked past its smoke point. This was on three visits out of ten-plus. There's not much to the interior either, as this is suited more so to takeout. The ribs can be tasty, and the crinkle-cut fries are memorable and addictive. To be frank the fries alone pushed this review to four stars despite the inconsistency. The fried chicken is very good as well, and the entire meal is suited to a fried cheat meal with the entire family's preference of sides and appetizers. It isn't the best I've had, the chicken pieces aren't all as large as expected and the breading is crispy even if it isn't the most flavorful dredge. There are also no creative hot sauces or pairings. The owner does let us substitute some sides in the value meals, which is convenient. It can still be really, really good fried chicken with satisfying sides. For a local spot I can look forward to a Chicken Town meal, even if I have to advise that the chicken should be double checked. There are better chicken chains and values to be had, but I still wouldn't hesitate to try Chicken Town again in my own town.

Been ordering wings for years from here. Great zesty wings trays of chix hands down well worth it. Must be some miserable people out there to give negative reviews to a chix joint trying to make a living. Only a broken down would say shoprite chix is better lol. I'll see you next week to pick up my

Loved this place until I noticed the chicken size, breast, thighs legs got so small but price is the same. It’s not cheap but quality is now suffering! Why the change? Unfortunately won’t be coming back. Shop Rite has better chicken now. ?

Haven't been able to find a good fried chicken place (KFC definitely doesn't qualify). I've lived locally for 25 years and have never thought to try chicken town - it came up in my google search tonight. Ordered a bucket of 16 pieces, half spicy Cajun half regular. Also got a small order (1/2 pound) of baked beans and Mac and cheese. 20 minutes for pickup on a Friday night. Lemme tell you - I truly couldn't stop eating!! This was the BEST fried chicken I've ever had. The flavor between the regular and Cajun was outstanding, the meat literally fell off the bone. The baked beans and Mac and cheese were both thick and flavorful. Chicken town has won my heart as a forever customer!
The best chicken i've eaten so far. Everything was delicious. We ordered Fried mushrooms , fried shrimp fried chicken coke slaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. Omg we couldn't stop eating. Bravo you have our chicken order from now on!

I truly don’t know how this restaurant is still in business. In coordination with many of the other reviews, the employees at this establishment are completely miserable. The woman taking orders in the front is downright rude. My mom, my sister and I paid for overpriced “snacks” here and were then proceeded to be asked to leave because we brought “drinks” into the restaurant (a Stanley water bottle). With the extremely high pricing and mediocre service, this is completely unacceptable. I understand why this place constantly looks like a ghost town.

Not only overpriced but they gave us the wrong food. Then had the nerve to tell us my daughter she couldn’t have her Stanley water cup in there because they sell drinks and she wasn’t nice about it. So we had to leave the premise and eat in the car! Unacceptable!

Food is good but pricing and quantity leave a lot to be desired . The combinations are not enough and the owner isn't flexible at all with working on you with the menu to get you what you need .
I bought the fried chicken, it was all bones. I did like the fried cauliflower sorry I will not be back.
