Not the Same Crab Shack I Grew Up With
I’ve been coming here for 33 years—my great-grandparents even shopped here. Sadly, since the business changed hands, it’s gone downhill. They now open at 10 AM instead of 9, which makes getting there a pain with Mantoloking Road traffic.
When I visited on the 4th of July, there were only a few customers, but the man behind the counter (who seemed to be in charge) was rude and dismissive. I had my hands full and just asked to set a few items down—he wouldn’t even make eye contact.
They didn’t even have crabs ready—on a holiday, no less—and the seafood they did get delivered was the same brand I can buy at ShopRite. This place used to feel special, but not anymore. Sadly, I’ll think twice before coming back.

Years ago I used to visit crab shack once a week sometimes twice a week. The owners are the best helpful people ever. Last week I ordered a fried fish dinner it was the best.the fries were awesome no more driving to pint for a fish dinner. Don’t hesitate can’t wait to order again. Crab shack you made me sooo happy.

What a nice surprise! Stopped by because of sign advertising free Crabs on the Patio and Live Band Sunday, BYOB. Ordered Hush Puppy Shrimp, it was delicious and reasonably priced, patio had a nice Breeze and Shaded on this 100 degree temperature. Highly recommend 😊

The Cozy place you find on your way to a work meeting by the shore. I grabbed the fish sandwich and I loved it, staff was very nice and the place was neat and cute.

Stuffed flounder and lobster roll were amazingggg!!!! We also had the hot honey shrimp which was so good but we were so hungry we took the picture a little bit late lol.

Have bought salmon, scallops and tuna here multiple times in the past few months- always great quality and awesome prices! Our new go to in the area
I guess the prices of fish are higher here to pay for the upgrades to the store. I’ve always gone to Point Lobster or Spikes but decided to try it here. Never again-I’ll make the trip to Point Pleasant.

Purchased 2 lbs of Stone Crab Legs Thursday. They were horrible meat inside them appeared to be frozen and thawed, no texture no taste and completely falling apart. In retrospect should have tried one in store prior to purchase. I noticed that a 'Under New Ownership ' sign going up when leaving. Not sure this the reason for bad product and if bad product on new or old Ownership but it was terrible and waste of time and money.
