Gianna and her Merri Makers team were amazing throughout our planning process and especially on our wedding day. I could not have pictured the day going more perfectly! They were super attentive and help us have the most amazing wedding!

I am a wedding planner and my client had their wedding last weekend. They had such an AMAZING night. Laura who worked with us from the start was amazing. She replied SO fast to all my emails, she really made sure my clients had a nice experience. Many guests throughout the night said that the food was excellent. Laura, as a little surprise to my client leading up to the wedding, put together a cacio e pepe station with a large cheese wheel to make the pasta in. How nice was that??? It didn't stop there, Megan who was our Maitre D was fantastic. We worked wonderfully in tandem together. All in all, when the end of the night came my clients, the parents of the bride, came up to me and raved about everything. If you are looking for full white glove service and top notch food, look no further than hiring Laura, Megan and the entire Merri Makers staff. Thanks for making Saturday a dream!!

Wonderful resource for to-go meals on busy weeks when I don't feel like cooking. And the fried chicken is the best around!

First, the food was fine, nothing spectacular! That isn’t the point of this review. I asked about allergens on the menu at a wedding we were attending for our nephew at The Ashford Estate since our daughter has a severe peanut allergy. I spoke with Laura M. who was not at all knowledgeable. She said she would get back to us if I sent her our email address. She did NOT get back to us. When we got to the venue, we sought out the chef who told us what to avoid. What most people don’t understand is that in addition to the allergen itself, there could be cross contamination from other ingredients or other items made in the same facility as peanuts…or on the same equipment. For instance tree nuts could be made on the same equipment as peanuts, sesame oil can be cross contaminated with peanuts or peanut oil, etc. I had asked Laura if there was a menu with a list of ingredients or allergens listed. Laura took that to mean I wanted to see the bride’s family’s contract! I couldn’t care less what their contract looked like or what they paid. I was trying to avoid an incident at the wedding which would put my daughter in the hospital or worse! After we got home, I texted Laura after work saying that she never got back to me or my daughter and that we had to find and ask/bother the chef at the venue. She called me and in a very nasty tone told me that she never said she would contact us, that I shouldn’t have texted her after work and that she had done everything she said she would. She stated again that I had no right to see the contract or the menu they had ordered. I asked her why she asked me to text her my email address if she had not said she would get back to me with the menu items to avoid. She just raised her voice to me again instead of answering. I told her how unprofessional I thought she was and I hung up. My daughter has been to many, many catered events large and small. She, and we, have never had an experience so unprofessional. To be frank, I am very surprised that the Ashford Estate would use such a caterer! Keep in mind, many, many people have food allergies of all kinds. It would do any caterer good to have allergy information at their fingertips to give to people who inquire. As far as Laura is concerned, she needs to understand the meaning of customer service and professionalism if she intends to stay in a service industry dealing with the public! Maybe if she has a child or grandchild with a severe food allergy some day, she will understand.

Merri-makers catered for our wedding at Ashford Estate on 4.2.22.The food was fantastic! Our guests kept raving about how delicious the food was. They did an excellent job with cocktail stations and reception dinner.Additionally, the staff was extremely attentive! Thank you merri-makers!!

What a job! Merri-Makers set the pace for our unbelievable day for Michelle and Alex with incredible food and over-the-top service. We wouldn’t have wanted to do this for 200 people without you. Thank you for making the Wedding Day of our children the GREATEST.DAY.EVER. !!

Merrimakers catered our wedding in September of 2021. We were not able to do a tasting before our event, which we were a bit nervous about, but we were absolutely blown away by the food – it was INCREDIBLE. Most of our guests commented on how good the food was. Even the cocktail hour was amazing – we were tied up with photos but we had a plate with a sample of everything on a plate waiting for us so we wouldn’t miss out on the amazing food.Our coordinator and maître d the night of our wedding was Patty – we were SO lucky to have her. She had excellent communication leading up the wedding and made sure everything was exactly the way we imagined it. I don’t even know how she kept everything running so smoothly but we did not have to worry about a single thing that night – she was on top of everything and made sure we were truly able to enjoy the evening. Thank you so much Patty, you are incredible!!The entire staff of Merrimakers that we worked with were extremely friendly and professional. If you are considering Merrimakers for catering your event, we highly recommend them! Not only do they help with the table/chair rentals, linens and basic decoration setup, but the food and staff are top notch.

My son was married at the Taylor Pavilion, Belmar this past Saturday (9/18/21), using the Merry Makers Caterers. We are still raving about the outstanding service which was provided by them. Patty K was their event planner and was there for the rehearsal as well as the wedding day to oversee that everything went smoothly. They set up the venue so beautifully as well as the wedding ceremony site on the beach. The cocktail hour was wonderful with a variety of appetizers being offered. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. Dinners were delicious and well-presented. It was so nice to see food served to all guests at the same time and water glasses constantly refilled. Used glassware was removed immediately and the tables were cleaned and looking presentable at all times. During a time where many places are having difficulty finding help, this was not the case with Merry Makers. There was plenty of help and they always had a smile on their face. Truly adds to the atmosphere of the wedding. All guests repeatedly told us what a fabulous time they had. Most of all, the bride and groom have amazing memories of their special day. Thank you Patty and the rest of the staff at Merry Makers for making this day so special!!!

MerriMakers made our dream wedding come true. From the start 3 years ago then postponing due to COVID til our wedding day September 11, 2021. Patty Kliegerman our Event Planner made all our dreams come true. We can’t thank her enough for all her help, time and patience. She went above and beyond. Our wedding was the wedding of the century. Our guests can not stop talking about the amazing food. Best they had ever had. The selections and attention to details for each dish created couldn’t have been more perfect. Patty and her staff were so attentive to every guest. Thank you for creating a wonderful magical day for us. I am going to miss Patty. She feels like family now. We definitely will be using them again in the future.

I just started working here. Wow talking about a good working environment. This is it. My coworkers are the best. You can come and have pre tasting to see what you want on your menu. The owner Rick is a very nice and high energy leader. I can see myself here for awhile.

I’m going to say this— if it wasn’t for Patty and Geri and the Merrimakers team, we wouldn’t have been able to get married this year. We originally hired Merrimakers to cater some meals on our wedding week and then for our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. We had a big giant 200+ person wedding planned, then COVID happened. We were bummed, but still determined to get married, however that would look like. We came up with the idea of having a drive-in ceremony and a picnic reception— where a few of our friends could watch us get married from the comfort of their vehicles and then enjoy a picnic reception at a safe distance. We called Merrimakers and Patty took the reins from there. They designed the most beautiful picnic baskets for our guests and served the most incredible dinner for us and our family. The only thing more amazing than their professionalism, attention to detail, incredible food, creative problem solving and hospitality are their staff. They are incredible. They went above and beyond attending on our guests— one of the servers took great care to make sure our dog had enough water and that her little collar was tied on right (see photo). I was so awestruck by this company— no need to hire a wedding coordinator when you have Patty!! She made everything run perfectly.
