I really want to love this place but they consistently get orders wrong. Missing straws, getting sizes wrong (even though I paid extra for a few larges as per their menu). Whoever is reading the orders needs to paayyy attentionnn! Or simplify the menu if it's too complicated to follow! Sorry guys, your system is NOT working! Just order small size smoothies guys. Until things change they will cheap out on you!

I ordered three times in the past week, twice on DoorDash and once in store all three bowls were wrong, I ordered the same bowl all three times no granola and extra Nutella 2 out of the three bowls had tons of granola and barely any Nutella The third bowl wasn’t even filled to the rim it was about a 1/2” down. as you can see in the pictures. I get it people make mistakes but that’s 50$ of my hard earned money for not what I ordered. The one in store visit the help was very slow and had no ambition. I also attached a photo of a piece of hair found in a bowl . Thank you , hopefully we can come to a resolution!

🍓 Recommendation for Açaí Bowls To the Management/Staff of Playa Bowls: I recently ordered an açaí bowl from your front counter, specifically the strawberry, banana, and Nutella option, based on a staff recommendation. While the staff member was helpful in suggesting the item and preparing the fresh fruit toppings, I was surprised to find that the base of the bowl—specifically the açaí, Nutella, and granola located underneath the fruit—was still solidly frozen. An açaí bowl should have a smooth, thick, soft-serve consistency that is ready to be eaten immediately. The frozen state made it nearly impossible to mix or eat the ingredients underneath, significantly detracting from the experience.
My recommendation for improving the quality and customer experience is as follows: Ensure Proper Thaw/Preparation Time: The pre-made açaí base should be kept at a temperature that allows it to maintain a cold, thick, scoopable texture, but not frozen solid. If bowls are prepared in advance and stored in the freezer, they must be allowed adequate time to temper (partially thaw) before serving to the customer.
Verify Consistency Before Serving: Staff should be trained to briefly check the consistency of the açaí base before adding toppings to confirm it is scoopable and ready to eat, especially in the center/bottom of the bowl. I hope this feedback helps you ensure that all açaí bowls are served at the intended consistency. I would like to try your bowls again if I can be assured they are properly prepared.

I'm so sad it took me so long go get on the Playabowl train, bc yikes! I have been missing out! but I'm on now...& I dont wona get off! Every bowl is exceptional w/ high quality ingredients that I can tailor make exactly how I want! Plus I feel good about eating! Mentally & physically. No longer do I get that narcoleptic-food coma sluggish, guilty feeling if I polish off a Playabowl. Happy extras include a rewards program, delivery, bday extras & seasonal promos, etc.

I love playabowls and I get the same thing everytime the booster bowl, which includes vanilla protein. Everytime I order to pickup on the app there is never any protein included, which makes the bowl icy and like a frozen watery soup. I don’t know if they are continuously forgetting, or if because it’s a a little more work to mix in the protein but every single time with no prevail there is no protein.I am not someone to complain or write a review like this but i have gotten FIVE bowls for pickup that are like this.When i go in store and order nothing is forgotten so im not sure what is going on. It is frustrating because like I said it’s a reoccurring issue and it just doesn’t make the food enjoyable without it. I love playabowls so maybe it’s just this location that’s not making their bowls correctly.
I only have gone to the brick location but I love it there everyone is so nice food comes out quick...love it there

We ordered a bowl and haven’t even touched it yet when my husband noticed a maggot right on top of the fruit. This was not only disgusting but extremely concerning from a health and cleanliness standpoint. We didn’t eat it at all and threw it away immediately. This completely ruined our experience. I’m posting this so others are aware, and I truly hope the location takes food safety more seriously going forward. Very disappointing!
