River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar

Went on trivia night (Tuesday) and it was a great time!!

Do NOT eat at River Rock if you are gluten free!!! The staff was told about five times of a severe gluten allergy and asked to be careful with cross contamination. After a one hour wait for our food the supposedly gf bowl came out, thankfully incorrect because the manager came over to let us know the bowl was mislabeled. When questioned why the chef gave a non-GF menu item after being told repeatedly about a severe gluten allergy I was told they would re-make it. Thank Gosh I followed my gut because the second food item that came out was also not gluten free as it had wheat berries in it. Pure and total negligence.

Very nice place. Great atmosphere and a lot of very happy people. Very hard to get service when not at the bar. Besides that, everything was excellent.

Sliced Garlic steak sandwich was served absolutely raw. Unedible.

It has been my go to place forever, since it was before it was the River Rock, been going there since the
50's. Since skinny Pete, and the owners Casperson's. Lonnie, My father-in law.

Ok. So let's compare RR to Beacon 70. RR has better service and more bang for your buck! They actually make mixed drinks in pint glasses that aren't packed with ice and B70 packs out a tiny water glass with ice and hardly any alcohol. RR has better food and the service is impeccable. Only complaint...TVs are way too loud and it's hard to hear someone across the table from you...same as B70. I would recommend RR first!!+
