I finally had a chance at dining at Spanish Olive after reading the great reviews. They start you with warm, fresh bread that’s very good. For appetizer I chose the trio of empanadas two beef and one chicken. Unfortunately, those were disappointing! They barely had any meat in them, and you couldn’t even tell which one was chicken and which one was beef! They tasted like ones you would buy in the supermarket in the frozen food section and heat up in your microwave. I was skeptical how dinner was going to be at this point, but it ended up being DELICIOUS! I ordered the ropa vieja which came with maduros and rice and beans. The ropa vieja was tender and packed with authentic Cuban flavor. The rice and beans and maduros were very good as well. My waitress Cindy was warm and welcoming. I recommend dining at Spanish Olive in Brick, but skip the empanadas!

Nice little get away for a romantic evening. Staff was polite and informative. Nice vibe and good music. Arroz con Pollo was spot on, with a very generous portion. The Caribbean shrimp was delicious as well. And of course the olives were delicious and generously served. Looking forward to going back one day soon

First time eating here. Excellent Cuban restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food. It's not a huge restaurant but filled up rather fast. That tells you something about how tasty the food is. Their menu has something for everyone, steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, lobster. I also saw a Vegan dish. We will definitely be going back. Don't forget to BYOB

I just had an amazing dining experience at Spanish Olive in Brick...everything about this place was awesome... from the awesome Cuban food (delicious white bean & chorizo soup starter and Pencil to die for), to the staff (Gayla, the coolest and most helpful waitress ever) to the classical spanish guitar music (George, amazing set list brother), everything was perfect...they'll even turn your byob wine into sangria! I cant recommend Spanish Olive enough...wonderful...

I called on Thursday August 15 and made a reservation for 9 people for Saturday night at 7PM. It was our 47th anniversary and our kids were coming from North Jersey to take us to dinner. We got there around 6:55. We were told that our reservation was cancelled! The hostess said she called us 4 times that day to confirm. I never received the call. Low and behold they were calling the wrong #. They had the right # written down in the book. The hostess insisted she called. Apparently I did not receive the call. They turned us away saying mistakes happen.! They never said they would call to confirm with me! How do you just give a reservation away! We were even there before time. They said we could wait an hour to be seated. Needless to say We will never go back again!!!!! Very disappointed with the way the situation was handled and the hostess was very rude. The owner just brushed it off as mistakes happen!!!!! Ruined our anniversary dinner for sure!!!!!
