My daughter had a very specific vision in mind for her birthday cake and they exceeded expectations. They kept in touch to make sure everything was correct and everything came out beautifully. I've never had a bad experience here.

I agree with some of the other reviews, since the new ownership took over it definitely hasnât been the same, but they are improving! I havenât ordered from there in years due to the taste of their donuts when they switched owners, Whoever they have doing it now is back on track.
We are local yocals and we get donuts from here, as well as their top 2 competitors, at least once a month, switching between the 3 spots.
The Sweets:
Delicious donuts and they have a good variety. We usually get something cream or fruit filled, I love cheese and danish put together, and my mom loves their cinnamon raisin buns. You can buy them in a six pack.
The Store:
It looks exactly the same as it did when I was a kid. They have changed absolutely nothing in the store, you can tell itâs old school and has been there for a while. Which is cool. Also, they are open more days and later than the other two previously mentioned bakeries. Super convenient!
The Service:
Now the service is something to be desired. The older woman who waited on us yesterday, and the one young girl who work in there are just blah. I honestly feel like weâre bothering them, I feel like they donât wanna answer questions when I ask them, âWhatâs in that one?â They have slight attitudes like theyâre too busy to wait on you, but if they donât wait on you, then theyâre not gonna make money and the place isnât gonna stay open soooooo, I donât know where that comes from. Especially when their competitors are the Amish Market in Hopewell and another family owned bakery thatâs been there here forever, Century Bakery⊠both places are dynamite!
Parking: Thereâs always enough room for me to park. Thereâs probably six spaces, and then you can park on the side as well and somewhere on the corner.

Great selection of pastries and pies. They also sell fresh baked loaves of bread. Their coffee is nice and strong too. Fresh croissants are often sold out.

I order a cake for my daughter Birthday and when I get here today 11/12 they said they didn't make and when I called and said if I needed to but a deposit the girl said it's on $40 dollars no need to I been ordering cakes for years here and I never say anything bad about them, but today disgusted me. How do you not have somebody's cake ready? And I asked her, could you make one? I don't have a baker. I never talked bad about a place before. Flies all over the cake in their donuts. You're there's no review for this place. It's a dump
This place is a city favorite! The doughnuts are always good and I have never had a bad experience here!

This bakery used to be a cornerstone of the community. Their banana cream pie, pastries, bread were top-notch when original owners had it. We've noticed a big change last 5+ years with different owners. The recipes are different. We had two undesirable bday cakes and pies. Icing seemed crisco-based instead of buttercream per order. I'm sure some of their staples are still good but we go elsewhere.

I mainly get the cupcakes and the birthday cake because their buttercream icing is amazing and the only one that I know that makes it so perfect and it tastes exactly as it did on my birthday cake when I was a kid. If you're looking for the perfect birthday cake this is the place ask for buttercream icing. The service is pretty good I would say smile more and be a little more welcoming with a good morning or good afternoon because it makes a big difference. Thank you you guys make really good stuff.

Great little bakery, with fresh homemade sweets!! While traveling back home, I noticed this bakery and decided to stop and check them out. We picked out a chocolate chip, an M & M, and an oatmeal cookie and also a slice of coconut cake and Raspberry cake. Everything was great except the M & M cookie was a little on the hard side. The young lady that assisted us was excellent, especially since we walked in as she was closing(we didn't know). Overall, this is a great little bakery, and I look forward to trying some more goodies the next time we are in the area.

Disgusted by this bakery. Watched the girl at the counter remove a ROACH from the donut case full of donuts. She didn't wash her hands or throw any of the donuts out. I walked out and watched her from my car . She continued serving the customers ahead of me and also handling cash without washing her hands! I dont know what is wrong with people cuz i know i wasnt the only one who saw her remove the roach. Will never be returning here.
All their cakes, donuts, bread are delicious. Great customer service
