When I stepped in NJ was searching for best food options, Balaji cafeteria was suggested as one of the best restaurant. It’s been a year I am visiting regularly to temple and cafeteria, initially my answer was yes it’s true but from past 2-3 months seems something changed in cafeteria. Dosas were given as papads, sambar completely modified, samosas are too oily and list goes on. Don’t want to reduce its rating but expecting the improvement.Vegetarian options: Everything is Veg here.

The medu vada today was simply outstanding. Haven't tasted this good anywhere.I would strongly suggest that the chutney and sambar be covered with sneeze guards at least for hygiene.
Closed from 12:30 to 5:30 on weekdays. Please edit your hours. I drove an hour from the city with an infant so we can be early, have lunch and do darshan believing the hours here on google. However when we reached the temple cafe, 1) it was difficult to find the cafe 2) once we found it, we were told cafe is inside the temple and because temple is closed, cant get to the cafe.

Cafe run by volunteeers in one of the most prestigious temples in USA . This temple is very famous and good . But the quality of food has decreased and price has increased so much . Sambar is too watery and chutney is average . I’m not complaining temple food , but if they charge it at restaurant price , it should be good . Service is good . I actually like their sweets . Very delicious . Overall we like the temple but the cafe is average .

Food is very very average in the cafeteria. I don't know whether it's managed by temple or private food quality is going down overtime. One star is for cafeteria.

Good food and great experience as usual. The organizers and volunteers do a tremendous job with managing the crowd even during auspicious days when the temple draws a large number of people.

Visited the temple on Diwali. Menu as of November 12th 2023. Samosa for appetizer and Maysor Masala Dosa with sambar really delicious.Parking: Just in case as you enter Balaji Dr. and see no parking spot continue to back side of Temple and still you are unable to find a spot then there is still one more place where as you come out of temple to exit on your right hand side you will see another parking lot which was not accessible to you when you entered Balaji Dr. This are all free options for parking. Temple do get really busy and there are some times I had not been able to find parking on first go. I had to keep driving around untill I saw someone exiting.
