I bought a ham and Swiss sloppy Joe and was never more disappointed with a sandwich in my entire life. The sandwich was a ham and Swiss no Russian dressing. when I went back to talk to the manager and asked why there wasn't three slices of bread she says this is how we make it. I was confused then why the up charge to a sloppy Joe when all I could've had was a ham and Swiss sandwich with Russian dressing in coleslaw. I highly recommend not to go here way overpriced.

Product quality is good. Portion size is good.
Cleanliness is good.
Menu choices are standard deli fare.
Service is good.
If you don't mind your sandwiches being made by very young people, who likely have never eaten at a NY deli prior to this job, and you trust that they can follow the recipies, then this place will suffice. If you ever enjoyed an overstuffed sandwich prepared by a seasoned Deli guy wearing a white apron and a prideful smile as he passed you a plate he'd be proud to serve his/her Manhattan mama, then you are likely to feel a tad deflated with your experience here. Still, the bread and meat quality is okay, the service pleasant (if blandly naive), and the pricing is in line with the zipcode.
Vegetarian options: There are non-meat items to be had. Cheeses and seafood, but nothing vegan per se.
Wheelchair accessibility: No problem for wheelchair, walker, cane, or crutches.

Disappointed. Took a long time to make and barely anything in this turkey sub.

What an amazing little whole in the wall spot with incredible food! Just had the Grinder sub, which is essentially an Italian sub with Russian dressing. Really interesting, beyond good! The tortellini salad rocks, everything is flavorful and worth trying. Love this place!

Good food but expensive. 2 sandwiches and some small container of potato salad cost over $32
I came in at 4:25 and they were closing at 4:30. They were kind enough to make me a sandwich and it did not disappoint. I ordered a grilled chicken with mozarella with peppers and balsamic panning. The sandwich was amazing and the pickle that was included was even better. So glad I discovered this spot. One of the best sandwiches I have came across in NJ. Skip the franchise sandwiches and go to Steck's. I will definitely be back soon. The German chocolate cake was a nice topper.

First time visiting this deli and it didn't disappoint. First, during a usual lunch rush, I didn't have to wait but a minute to order my roast beef & muenster sandwich. It was ready really quickly, it was inexpensive and it was delicious! But what really impressed me about this place was their generosity. There was an older woman in line ahead of me, she didn't have alot of money with her & she asked if she could come back to pay. The staff didn't blink and eye and right away said "We've got you. No need. It's on us." And honestly, it was really heartwarming to witness the kindness of people who do things like that so selflessly and generously. They've made me a loyal customer today. I hope all of those that haven't visited yet, will give them a try too.

Steck's is an authentic local deli. This time I went with a roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, spicy mustard, salt, and pepper. For desert a piece of carrot cake. All delicious! FYI - All take out, there are no tables.

I’ll flat out mention. I am not a big sandwich guy. When I do crave a sandwich I prefer an authentic deli, such as this one. I also like to choose something from the menu that I may never usually order just to try it out. A little risky but life‘s too short to pick the same things all the time. In this case I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich that was on the special of the day. It was good not great. The reason I left a four star instead of a five star. Maybe it’s just that it’s not my thing. Or that I wasn’t very impressed with the rye bread. Nonetheless the overall experience at Stecks never disappoints. The staff are always friendly, helpful and care about serving quality food and providing a quality experience. And for that, I always return and recommend this location.

I eat here once a week and I can say I look forward to it every time. The owner is a down to earth leader who cares about his customers experience more than anything. The people who work there always take orders in a great mood and make sure we have the freshest food. I recommend this place to everyone!-MV

Great atmosphere Great service but what a weak Ruben. Weak on meat and cheese. Sandwich was pressed down to an inch thick like a panini. I’m use to a Ruben with 3 to 4 inches of meat and cheese with sauerkraut and Russian dressing grilled in butter on beautifully rye bread. The Sandwich weigh maybe 6 Oz if that. SMH never again. Sorry I tell it like it is. Maybe they got my order mixed up. IDK
