Love this place, or maybe I should say loved. The last 2 times here the service has really gone down. 15 minutes to get a drink.... It's a shame. Louis was working the bar the last time. Really disappointed with one of our favorite restaurants.

I visited this place for the first time on a Saturday after seeing it listed on Resy for my American Express credit. Once we were seated, it took about 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. When someone finally did, he was very apologetic and welcoming. Our server, Luis, was great—he took the time to walk us through the menu and checked on us throughout the meal. Excellent customer service on his part.

I ordered the Carne Asada, a marinated 21-day aged outside skirt steak, but unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with the flavor. It tasted pretty bland to me, and the side dish wasn’t what I expected. I was anticipating jasmine rice, but it tasted more like quinoa.

Overall, the food just wasn’t my thing, so I don’t see myself returning. That said, Luis provided great service and deserves recognition.

Food was excellent but unfortunately not worth the 90-minute wait, even in a mostly empty restaurant with lots of wait staff. Wouldn't recommend unless you're neither hungry nor thirsty but have 2 hours to kill.

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced at any restaurant I’ve been to. I’m writing this review as I sit here, have not seen my waiter in over 30 min and I just want to pay my bill and leave. Food was sub par and we sat for 20 min before anyone took our order IN AN ALMOST EMPTY RESTAURANT! Don’t waste your money here, I’m angry that I did.

Uncle Julio’s was a fave go to, every time visiting Bridgewater Mall. But I think this is the last visit, unfortunately. Service has been so slow and the food was horrible. That unique Uncle Julio taste of the quesadillas was second to none. Whatever they are doing to cut corners has literally downgraded this item to be better ordered at a diner somewhere. Barely any cheese. No more fajita style option. And the steak flavor is nowhere near what it used to be. Whatever changes were made here. Chased us away. So sad 😞 … used to love it there.

We went here for a birthday celebration, and from appetizers to dessert, it was a complete disaster.

One of the appetizers contained meat, which was unacceptable. We then waited 30 minutes just to see our server nearby. After that, we waited another 45 minutes before we could even place our main entrée order—only after we had to search for the server ourselves.

The food quality was worse than Taco Bell, and I am not exaggerating a single word. The main course felt like jail food: dry, old, and stale rice. No one at the table touched their food.

After another hour, we finally saw our server again and had to remind them to bring out the chocolate piñata that had been clearly requested over six hours in advance. No attention was paid to our table or our request. By this point, it was 9:00 PM—we had been in the restaurant since 6:15 PM, and the kids were nearly falling asleep.

Throughout this entire time, no one addressed any of our concerns.

When dessert finally arrived, no plates were provided. We had to wait another 15 minutes just to request plates. We were hoping the dessert would at least be worth the money, but the churros had a strong aftertaste of old oil and were bitter.

At this point, we had lost our patience. When we asked for the bill, it was brought without a pen. Once again, we had to search for someone to get a pen and ask for a manager. The pen was provided—but no manager ever came.

After leaving, we had to approach someone who appeared to be a manager. All we received was a brief “sorry.”

If you want to repeat a similar experience, be my guest—but consider this your warning. In case you are wondering if there were busy on Friday night. I assure u. No, it was not busy.

This was a 3rd year visiting Uncle Julio’s for our holiday work luncheon. I will say unfortunately it will be our last. We were a party of 10. Restaurant was practically empty which should have been my first clue that this establishment has gone down hill. Parking lot was packed with holiday shoppers who did not care to stop at Uncle Julio’s. Our server (did not introduce herself) was not attentive, food was ehhh, ordered a few orders of guacamole for the table and then had to wave someone down for chips and plates.. Our server was no where to be found. Lunch came out and was auctioned off, from the girl who actually took our order.. they have this cool function on the POS system that lets you enter seat numbers so your food doesn’t have to be auctioned off. After lunch a few of us went to the bar, bartender had his back to us, had us wait while he continued to cut fruit.. when the last person to join us at the bar never even got a drink because the bartender had left the bar and never returned?? Pretty bazaar service standards going on at this establishment. Not that we will be returning, but I would be very surprised if this place is even open next year.

Great Mexican restaurant. We came on a day where both other restaurants in the area were closed due to some pipe and kitchen issues. So the restaurant was swamped with guest. Mario did a fantastic job shorthanded to ensure all guest were provided top service. He literally single-handedly managed the bar and restaurant for a period of time before additional help came in to assist him. The food and service was excellent and I would definitely go BACK! Thanks Mario, you are a gem!!!

This is literally the previous restaurant BUT WITH A NAME CHANGE. Food didnt get any better really. The mini chimis app were warn boarding on cool. The bacon wrapped shrimp dinner was ok plain and kinda blah. The salsa was horrible. I ordered a dozen tamales to go which is a simple ask but they gave me a 2 tamale meal because my sever asked someone else and they said just give me that. Really incompetent…. Get your act together or the next restaurant will take over your spot

Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. It took about 30 minutes just for our drinks to arrive, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. When I asked a follow-up question about the spicy piña, our server responded with “I already explained that to you,” which was curt and impersonal. My chicken quesadilla was fine but nothing memorable, especially considering the wait. Overall, the service took away from the experience, and I expected better hospitality.

Used to be a favorite spot. Now with new ownership menu is smaller, portions are way smaller. My large guacamole was two scoops full of onions on a plate.
