Absolutely the best food on the island. If one of these was near my house it'd be a problem.

Great no frills option for to go breakfast. Excellent coffee. Quick in and out.

Great bakery! Got an Italian hoagie this morning. It was delicious - excellent bread, filled with lots of meat and veggies. Service was friendly and fast!

The breads are good, the cakes are not. I've gotten Italian loaves which always taste good and fresh. However, each time I've gotten cake slices, they aren't good. They don't taste fresh and don't have much flavor other than being overly sweet.

a must stop every time we’re in town. love love love this bakery! everything is fresh and it’s always consistent. is it super busy? yes but you’re visiting one of the most popular businesses in a beach town! don’t go in there thinking it’ll be quick, especially if you’re ordering sandwiches. either wait or leave! as for me? I’m waiting, patiently!

We stood in line with a number & others with numbers greater than ours were served before us. Not enough staff, rude, curt demeanors toward customers. The worst part of our stay was visiting this establishment. We walked out disappointed, & disgusted.
Definitely not a place I'd recommend patronizing.

Think they changed some recipes . Had some cakes here recently and they were delicious. Tiramisu cake my favorite. Tried canoli, Italian rum and chocolate also. A few years ago I remeber the cakes having a heavy spice like
Goldschlager or potpourri but that seems to no longer be the case.

I am from south jersey but currently live in SW Virginia. I was in Brigantine visiting some friends and wanted to stop at a bakery on my way back home. I am beyond happy that I picked Aversa’s! As soon as I walked in, I was in bliss of the welcoming atmosphere and amazing options. We ended up getting a hoagie, donuts, bagels, and jalapeño poppers! The hoagie was impressively sized, a whole sandwich could easily feed 4 people! The roll was perfectly soft and crispy on the outside. There was the perfect amount of meat and toppings! If you have ever been to Virginia, you will know that they simple don’t know what a hoagie is so this was just the pick me up I needed on my way back down south. I got a side of pickles and they gave a generous side serving of some delicious dill pickles. The donuts and bagels were also amazing! And most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. They knew we were from out of town and welcomed us like we had been lifelong customers. It was the small town bakery vibe I absolutely love to experience from small businesses. Needless to say, this will be a new staple for my visits to the Jersey shore. I am very happy to learn they also have other NJ locations.

I love Aversa's! Having a local bakery of this quality in our little community is such a privilege. Every time I step in, it reminds me of stepping into my Italian Grandma's kitchen. In fact, rest her soul, some of their cookies are better than hers were! I've ordered custom cakes, pizzas, stromboli's, etc. and never had anything but perfection. Highly recommend all of their food, you literally cannot go wrong. If it's a weekend and you want donuts, get there early, they sell out fast! Their bread is also divine, no holiday is right without a basket of their rolls or a loaf of their bread.

Aways stop here during our visits to Brigantine. Great bread, sandwiches are good. The place is usually busy but line moves quickly. The only disappointment was the small chocolate cake - cake was only so-so and frosting was completely tasteless. Love the horseshoe almond cookies but we come here for the bread. Haven't tried too many of the sweet bakery items, but still give them 4 stars.
