The food was great. The service was fabulous. Anna did a great job making sure everything was ideal for us. Seriously recommend La Scala Beach House to anyone visiting Atlantic City and the surrounding areas.

I came here with a group of 7 and had a decent overall experience. The service was great - friendly, efficient, and everything was explained clearly. We were seated at a large outdoor table right by the beach, which was a great setting. There was live music, lots of seating both indoors and out, and the bathrooms were clean and easy to access.
The food was just okay and felt overpriced for what it was. I had the angel hair pasta with crab. It was a big portion, but the flavor didn’t really stand out. In general, the quality didn’t match the prices. This place is definitely more about the atmosphere than the food, but for a group outing by the beach, it worked well.

Last night it poured and everyone ran inside for cover just as I walked in. It was mayhem, but the staff handled it great. I was told 1.5 hour wait. I was sat in 10 minutes, had my food 8 minutes later. I had the salmon salad and my son had the chicken parm dinner. Absolutely outstanding! Best food on the island! Great bartender Morgan, great service all around! I love this place.

Very good food and surprisingly good sushi is available here... Unbelievably loud though, every time we come here... Super loud... hard surfaces magnify the volume. Service is generally great and will come back again and again for both sushi and other food/drink options... Inside seating though is not romantic or a good place to talk...

Located right on the beach, this place is a giant bar, not a bar-and-grill. The food was disappointing; they don’t even offer bar-type food, which is surprising given the location. Choices are limited and far from simple.
The lighting is the worst I've seen in any restaurant. Whoever designed the interior didn't know what they were doing. Everything is white—white marble tables, white chairs—and the lighting is industrial fluorescent, like an office building. The extreme white lighting is blinding, making you feel like you’ve entered an industrial office, not a beachside bar.
The menu is ridiculous for a bar-and-grill on the beach. You can't get a burger, fries, or chicken. Instead, it's all Italian dishes with no simple finger food. The food was so bad we ended up returning it. They're trying to present themselves as a high-end fancy restaurant, but they’re failing miserably. Given the beachfront location, you should be able to get hot dogs, burgers, fries, or fish. Instead, they offer a confusing mix of sushi and Italian dishes.
Wouldn't recommend it for anyone expecting a casual, beachside bar-and-grill experience.
