**Review:**

I’ve been a loyal patron of this particular Bubbakoo’s Burritos and Bowls location for quite some time now, visiting on a near weekly basis—two to three times, in fact. I’m well acquainted with the nuances of their offerings, and I have developed an appreciation for the consistency (or lack thereof) in their service. So imagine my surprise, if you will, when, on my most recent visit, I was served a burrito that—though encased in the warm, floury embrace I have come to expect—fell grievously short in the most important regard: the chicken. Yes, the chicken.

Let me be clear, for the sake of precision and clarity (two virtues that are often neglected in contemporary discourse), I am not one to complain without cause. The portion size has always been ample in the past, even bordering on excessive at times. I have, in fact, *noted* this discrepancy in a positive light on numerous occasions. However, on this day—this fateful, and dare I say, catastrophic day—the portion of chicken was dismal, bordering on negligent. It was as if the chicken had been rationed, deliberately withheld, perhaps as some kind of experiment in restraint. But I assure you, there was no empirical justification for this. There was no *noble* reason for such a reduction. It was not a minor shortcoming; it was a glaring oversight.

Now, I did not remain silent, for to do so would have been an abdication of my personal responsibility as both a consumer and a thoughtful participant in the intricate social contract we enter into when we exchange currency for sustenance. I mentioned to the staff that, historically, the chicken portions have been more generous, that there is a standard to which I have become accustomed, a standard which has now been egregiously undermined. The response was less than satisfactory, as they made no effort to rectify the situation. In fact, they seemed to disregard my very valid concern, offering no explanation or even a semblance of empathy for my plight.

The matter, as one might imagine, grows more complex when one considers the greater implications of such an action. We are, in the end, creatures of habit, and our expectations are shaped by the patterns of our past experiences. When those expectations are violated without reason, without apology, it causes a rupture—a rift in the fabric of our otherwise harmonious interaction. This burrito, though wrapped in familiar paper, became a symbol of disappointment, a metaphor for the larger breakdown in the integrity of the service I have come to rely upon.

I would be remiss not to mention the irony that, despite all the accoutrements—salsas, rice, beans, and the like—the burrito was left fundamentally lacking in its central component: the chicken. One might say, as I am inclined to, that a burrito without sufficient chicken is merely a vehicle for condiments, a hollow shell masquerading as a meal.

And so, I find myself disillusioned, questioning the very nature of loyalty, service, and perhaps even the fundamental structures that govern our daily choices. How long can one continue to invest time, money, and energy into a relationship—however transactional it may be—when the object of that investment fails to meet even the most basic expectations?

In conclusion, I am left with no choice but to award a **negative one star** for this visit. I can only hope that this oversight will be rectified in the future, though I remain skeptical, for as we all know, repeated disappointments can only lead to the erosion of trust.

Let us hope that the powers that be at Bubbakoo’s Burritos and Bowls recognize the gravity of this issue before they lose yet another loyal customer—one who simply seeks what is rightfully theirs: a burrito with adequate chicken.

My husband and I go here every Friday afternoon for a lunch date while the kids are in school. This bubbakoos in Mt. Olive always has the best people working in there. They are incredibly helpful and always greet everyone who walks in the door. We LOVE this place.
