I had reservations on Sunday, June 23. I arrived and the restaurant was closed. Supposedly because of the heat. It is unacceptable and inconsiderate not to call your reservations and advise them that you were closing. This is indicative of the attitude of the management, I will not be returning.

This is a tough review to give. My wife and I live 5 minutes away so we were really rooting for this place. The first few times we went here in 2022, the food was amazing and the experience was great. Something changed. The menu is different, the food is wildly inconsistent, and they often have a single server to cover the entire dining room so getting a second drink is a nightmare. Three separate occasions we have visited and still waited 30+ minutes WITH a reservation. It pains me to say, we have not and will not be back. We now take our business to Union House which is in walking distance.

This is now my third time at this restaurant... Every time the food is just spectacular! From presentation to taste it is just perfect. In addition, the service is terrific. Our server Toni was attentive, but not intrusive. I will definitely come back! I was with several friends and family, and they all remarked about how terrific the food was
The bar ambiance is outstanding due to the friendliness of the patrons and staff. The food choices although there are only two for Wednesday Community Meal Day are always a great value and you never leave disappointed. I highly recommend the River View Restaurant.
Great food and staff. Great spot right in historical Burlington. Definitely recommend

My husband I went to the Riverview for dinner this past weekend. I wanted a filet so bad, and we thought this restaurant would have a delicious one. Unfortunately, the steak was not good at all Very thin piece of meat, not seasoned and I really doubt that it was a filet. Looked more like a rib eye or delmonico steak. The mashed potatos were watery also. I should have sent it back as soon as I saw the steak, but was so hungry I kept the platter.
The ceaser salad was delicious as were the drinks. We would probably go back for the bar menu, but wont waste my money on dinner Very disappointed with that.
Our server was excellent.

Had high hopes.... Took an hour to get our drinks and bread for the table? We were told that they were dropped so they would be in the house. They also brought us free brussel sprouts app as an apology. Very nice and appropriate gesture. We ordered steak and lamb chops. Food tasted delicious. Steak was a nice portion but the lamb chops were less than appetizer sized for $30. ?. Waitress was busy so we didn't get much attention. Food deliverers didn't know where food was going. May have just been an off night for them. We WOULD go back to see as the place was cute and the ambiance was comfortable.
The food and drinks is always amazing! The service never disappoints. I'm always pleased whenever I visit. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere that's not too hard on your pockets.

Terrible service. I tried for weeks to get in touch with anyone to book a private event. And no one ever called back, when I finally got someone on the phone they told me no manager was on site and that they are sorry for no call backs. My husband left multiples messages and we filled out multiple online inquiries with no luck. Glad we didn’t book our event here if the service is this terrible, it’s just not worth it in my opinion.

The bartender or someone who worked in that area kept throwing bottles into a trash can which was loud and nerve wrecking. Other than that the atmosphere seem nice.

It's a cute place. Our drinks were perfection, probably our favorite part. For appetizers we ordered the Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and by mistake we received the artichoke dip, all of them were delicious. As for the entrees, we weren't impressed for a few reasons. They are in the transition period of trying new items on their menu/coming out with a new menu. I would definitely return in the summer season to sit on the outside patio to do apps and drinks only.
We had a delicious meal and wonderful service from our server Toni! Our favorites were the cauliflower appetizer, the tomahawk pork chop and the branzino entree. So good and large serving size! My new favorite local restaurant!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Had a reservation for 8:45pm on Valentine's Day. After we were seated service was a little slow and when we did have the opportunity to place our order the server told us they were out of a number of the items we wanted. We asked for a couple minutes to make different selections. She returned 10-15 minutes later and told us that the manager had decided that we would not be allowed to place an order. We were speechless. No apology, no explanation. This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I have been to this restaurant a number of times but the quality of service and professionalism is obviously lacking. We'll never even consider going there again and I'm sure we will be sharing this story for a long time.
