I am so disappointed today with my order. I usually order the oxtail cabbage w/rice & peas and that be so/so. I decided to go with the brown stew chicken this time with the same sides. ALL OF IT WAS HORRIBLE! The rice taste like mush, the cabbage has no flavor at all and the chicken looks shredded and taste old. Not my usual experience here. Also noticed I wasn't given a receipt but asked to pay as soon as I ordered.

Really disappointed with my takeout experience here yesterday. Placed an order online at 2:11 pm and the pickup time was between 2:26 and 2:31. Got there around 2:30 and told the bartender my name and that I was there for a pickup order. He said they got it and then he went to the kitchen but came back without my order. I then proceeded to wait. 2:30...2:35...2:40...2:45... then around 2:50 I asked a woman working there if I was in the right place to pick up orders. She said yes. I waited some more. 2:55...3...she must've seen the frustration on my face because then she said they're almost done my order. I guess she checked in the kitchen. Clearly at that point it had been nearly an hour since I ordered. I believe I finally got my food in my hands at 3:10 p.m.

Now one of four things happened, I'd imagine: 1) the order went to a system they didn't have hooked up and they saw it LATE, 2) they were extremely backed up in the kitchen and my order was low on the totem pole, 3) the chefs cook what they want at their pace with no sense of expediency, or 4) they ran out of something I ordered and had to go buy more. In any event, THIS WAS WILD.

So even though the food was good, the portions were small and the wait was unacceptable. Too much competition out here to be slacking like this.

Giving my honest review:

When we first arrived, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. A female employee finally told us we had to order using the kiosk. Since we were new to the area and it was our first time visiting, we weren't familiar with the ordering system. We spent another 10 minutes trying to figure it out before a kind young gentleman came over and helped us place our order.

We arrived around 6:30 p.m. and didn't receive our food until 8:30 p.m., which was a very long wait.

We spent about $60, only to get home and find that the food was extremely greasy. The containers had been stacked on top of each other inside a paper bag while still hot, causing the lids to melt and leak grease all over the inside of my car.

We ordered a shrimp Rasta pasta, a shrimp jerk chicken pasta, and shrimp fried rice. The fried rice was much too spicy, even though my dad specifically ordered it mild. The Rasta pasta barely had any meat—it was mostly just pasta.

The atmosphere wasn't enjoyable either because the music was so loud that it was difficult to hear anyone.

I came here because someone highly recommended this place, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. Based on this visit, I won't be returning.
