Disgusting place. surprised by any good reviews. Smelled like someone smoked cigarettes in there, food was bland spent 20$ on a sandwich and small Mac and cheese that got me really sick. Threw up 4 times and felt horrible that whole night don’t go here

The high ratings gravitated us here, parking is a bit tricky coming off Rt 23, so we just parked at the adjacent lot. We ordered to stay, occupying one of the two raised tables for two with high-chairs (place is mostly for take-out). Food was clean and tasty (not swimming in grease or overly sweet or salty). We ordered sandwiches:Bulldog; Brisket and Mac & Cheese with pickles and Kansas BBQ sauce served on Texas toast. The Colt: Pulled pork topped with coleslaw green onions and South Carolina sauce served on Texas toast.Sides: German potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese was my least favorite.(The rest of my party liked it.)Loved the German potato salad, and especially the cole slaw, as it was my first time trying it made this way.Chef Eric shared his love for cooking, and told us about his Facebook page, which is worth checking out.

Had lunch there on Saturday. Pulled pork and Mac & Cheese was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely be going back again.

The girl working there was very nice and quickly put together my to go order. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. The food was OK at best. The highlight was the Boylan Root Beer.

We were in the mood for bbq and found a great spot not too far from home. Everything was great and the meats(we had the pulled pork & brisket) were so moist and tender but my fav were the baked beans! They tasted so good and there was some sort of a sweetness to them. We def want to go back and try everything on the menu!

Love having something different in this area where food seems to be an afterthought for most places. For that alone this place gets 5 stars. The best thing I have had is by far the brisket. Over mac n cheese or the specialty sandwich they make it's just incredible and the reason I keep coming. Pulled pork is good as well. For some reason I found the chicken to be the least favorite of them all but that's ok. I enjoyed the wings which had a great smoky flavor paired with whatever sauce you choose but sadly I probably can't justify getting them again at the price they are asking.About the only other thing I can hope for is a few more things added to the menu someday or maybe some weekly specials since it's a very small menu.

Been going to this shop since it opened. The fact that they have been successful in this location is a testament to their dedication to an excellent product, and great customer service. Try the brisket tacos with everything on em. And the Jamaican j*** wings are crazy. Holly is an absolute professional. Always offering a smile and great food. TOP QUALITY. Eric is the genius of an owner. Stop in say hi. They also offer Boylans soft drinks. Old fashioned drinks with old fashioned customer relations.

I absolutely love this place and the workers. Food is amazing and consistent every time. Warm, filling, not fatty, moist, and great taste. I cannot say enough good things about this small hidden gem.I usually get a dinner portion If pulled chicken and Mac n cheese and save the leftovers for the next day.

Absolute TEXAS sized portions at this BBQ stand. No skimpy little platters here. I had the brisket sandwich with their South Carolina sauce. Everything tasted great!

This was a very good first time experience. I ordered The Pit Sampler Platter just because it gave a variety of about everything they offer and would give leftovers too.The brisket, pulled pork, and chicken were excellent. My son knocked off the meat leftovers and mac n cheese. He then commented he wished he had this when I brought it home instead of a day later. The potato salad, baked beans, corn bread, and mac n cheese were all very good. I will call the collard greens "intriguing". I have never had them before - but I will have them again with our next order. The cole slaw was ok. (Please understand, I am not a huge fan of cole slaw to begin with but wanted to try it anyway.) Anything that is vinegar based, I will always give it a shot.Service was friendly and the order was ready for the time I had put in when I ordered through their web site. Going to have to keep an eye on their rib availability - want to try those next.

Excellent food and service. Figured I would give them a shot. EVERYTHING IS DELISH! My favorites are the tacos and Mac n cheese.

Amazing barbecue, sides are very well done, especially the cole slaw. The owner quit a 20 year tech career to pursue his passion of barbecue. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome barbecue and sides at a quick stop off the highway. Great to support a small business that puts so much heart into the art of their food. One of the friendly, knowledgeable owners explained their delicious dips and sauces for the dinner sampler fit for two. Plus, we had leftovers. I'd definitely go back and try the ribs, sandwiches, and other offerings.
