Fernando was great! He made great drink suggestions and I loved everything he recommended

Ate here at 4pm on a Monday with a coworker. Sort of a neon, day of the dead touristy vibe inside. We sat at the bar and ordered separately. I got the Al Pastor tacos, which were ok. The menu does not show or list pineapple as a topping on them but it was in my tacos. The waitress or bartender was not very attentive to either of us but when we got our bills the 18% gratuity had already been included on both our checks. Not something I have seen unless with a larger party. All in all probably wouldn't go back if I was in the area again. Didn't really have the flavors or value for me.

I truly regret choosing La Fortaleza. From the moment my meat arrived, it was clear this would be a meal I'd rather forget. The food was, without exaggeration, the worst meat I’ve ever had in my life. It was undercooked, inconsistently textured, and had a strange, almost rubbery feel that made it nearly inedible. I honestly couldn’t bring myself to finish even a few bites.

The idea of taking it home for my dog crossed my mind—until I realized that would be borderline animal cruelty. I ended up leaving on the table, which felt like a waste of money.

While I will admit the place has some nice decor and ambiance, that’s where the positives end. The service was just ok, not bad, but definitely not great or memorable enough to compensate for the disaster on the plate.

Someone suggested maybe the food would taste better after a few drinks, which might be true for some, but since I don't drink, that wasn’t an option for me. In short, save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. I certainly won’t be returning.

Had a great time with our server Fanny, very attentive to our table which was a party of 6+ !!! Definitely recommend !!

First of all, we did a reservation and I believe they do not respect that. We reserved the “taxi” table a week before of our visit. The host that I be alive it was actually the manager just roll his eyes and gave us any table. They everything was fine, the food was excellent and when we order shots the waiter told us that we cannot order more drinks. The server said that they only allow to sell certain amount of drinks but they never explained that at the beginning. I believe it was actually because we took the table for so long but why they did not say that instead? We asked to another team member he said yes, and ww just saw that they started arguing in the back and I over heard saying that “we already drink too much”. We were 3 people only and not even third round of drinks. At the end, the server just add the tip without asking us. Probably the server just assumed things instead of asking us.

We love the place, very welcoming and wonderful customer service. Delicious Food and would come back again !

Wonderful experience, such a great environment a lot of music, colors, and themes, would recommend to someone who looking to try something new. We had Dora a server who served us she was amazing with us and very friendly. I would definitely come back and definitely try something new from the menu.
