Food is just ok not sure what’s the hype about it. I think the only thing that makes it popular is that it is the only sweet shop in that area with Indian food and snacks. Sweets are always stale unless you get it during festival season. I once picked up gazar halwa only to find fungus in it as I got home. Service also is so slow even when the shop is empty. Only thing I ever liked from there was malai kofta curry. Samosa’s bought recently were bad in taste and literally each samosa fall apart out of 8 I bought.

Don’t expect this to be a restaurant, this review is from a perspective of an Indian sweet shop. Portion sizes are small for the size.Authentic Punjabi rural cuisine! True taste of Punjab which is very lightly altered to suit non-Indians.Sweets: I don’t think there can be a better besan burfi that you can buy. 100% authentic! Also bought til bhugga which is special for Lohri. No other place I know that sells till bhugga. Besides that we ordered badana. Our family had a meal, we ordered samosa, dal makhani, paneer butter masala, yogurt, choley bhature and gobhi parantha.Highly recommend choley bhature and dal. Naam is must try!Don’t recommend gobhi parantha. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. Good service overall.Vegetarian options: All vegetarian Punjabi place, vaishno bhojan, vaishno food

Food is expensive compared to similar/better at Oaktree's Quality sweets. No prices posted anywhere, so you have awkwardly ask for every item.

We were driving from NYC to DC and forgot to eat while still in NYC ! We randomly found Khalsa sweet house and had some of the best Indian food in the US. I am still dreaming about the aloo kulcha months later. The portions are small (which i loved - so we could try different things). Everything we ordered was delicious, the mushroom matar, chole. We also tried 1/2 lb of the delicious mithai. Loved the food and the hospitality

We stopped here on a road trip and had amazing food. It's a great casual authentic Indian food restaurant, the kind where they don't ask how spicy you want your food- it's just spicy (if that applies to what you ordered). We didn't realize we'd also need to specify we wanted rice, so we added that after. You order at the counter and pay for your meal after eating. If we'd had room we would've also had dessert (there are 4 cases of them) but we'll have to wait until we come through town again.

First thing when you walk in this place is super clean! First impressions is everything and the atmosphere was pleasant. The host greeted me as I entered. I ordered the Chana Masala and the Palak Paneer. It was super delicious!! This is my new favorite Indian restaurant. I used to go to Edison to find food but now I have somewhere local in town where I can get the same amazing flavors. Next time I'm going to try the Paneer Tikka Masala. I heard that is a fan fave!
