I've lived nearby for 18 years and this was the first time we had eaten there. Boy, I wish I had discovered it sooner! Delicious meal. My filet mignon was flavorful and cooked perfectly and a glass of the house pinot paired well. Great selection of appetizers and they were quite good. Special shout out to the warm fluffy dinner rolls--Trust me you won't regret using your daily carb allotment on these! Dessert and service also good. We will be back.

Inside was small but very charming and lovely. Extremely quiet a little to quiet up until around 630 when they started to play music. Appetizers were delicious but can not say the same about the entrees. Overall fair/good experience at DelMonico

You can build a gourmet tapas meal from the appetizers, the house wines are terrific, and the cocktails rock.

If I could give six stars I would. Consistently excellent service, consistently excellent food, a host that gives the personal touch.

Food was exceptional as was the service. The noise level was great we could actually hold a conversation which seems to be not the story at many restaurants we go to. Loved my meal.

Good overall but not super impressed! Had a filet mignon and it was cooked very close to perfection, seasoned ok and presented nicely. Special old fashioned was good but I preferred the original better. She had some kind of chicken and said it was ok. If I lived in town I would try again but I don't think I will travel 25 minutes to get there as I think better places are within that area.

We've eaten at DelMonico's in Cedar Grove at least 3 or 4 times. The steaks never disappoint. The atmosphere is festive and they have a full bar and wine list. Service has always been bright and cheeful.

It was very slow when I had lunch here. Staff was very attentive. Food portion were also great. We kept it simple and ordered the skirt sticks, fried calamari as our apps & penne vodka with chicken for our entree. Had leftovers (goes to show the portions can be GREAT). Would definitely come again!

Delmonico Steakhouse in Cedar Grove is a hidden gem. The food is actually phenomenal, and the service is spot-on. The owner, Brad, is a wonderful guy who truly cares about the dining experience.

I have to give a special mention to their General Tso’s chicken. Growing up in Rutherford, I used to frequent Village Gourmet for General Tso’s made by Bobby Wong—it was my favorite as a high schooler. After moving to Cedar Grove, my wife and I decided to try Delmonico. When I saw General Tso’s on the menu, I knew I had to order it, and after the first bite, I instantly recognized that amazing taste. Turns out, Brad’s wife Caidie is the daughter of Bobby Wong, and she’s brought her father’s famous recipe here. As Brad put it, “When you have such a great recipe, why would you ever change it?” I couldn’t agree more.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the steaks are cooked to perfection, and every dish shows a true dedication to quality. Whether it’s the nostalgia of an old favorite or the excitement of a perfectly done steak, Delmonico is a dining experience that delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Del Monico never disappoints. It's one of the most consistent dining experiences in the area. From the service to the food, they're happy to have you join them and they want to make absolutely sure that you enjoy the food and the drinks. We go for special occasions or when we may just want a 100% positive experience after a hard week at work. The steaks are prepared at a level that would surprise you if you've ever eaten at one of the more touted steakhouses in the NYC tri-state area. They even take great care with the sides!! I could go on but now I'm starting to wish I had leftovers so I'll stop here. Just go.

Not your typical steakhouse as they offer some eclectic items but everything is done well. Staff is very nice and attentive. Took some time to get our entrees but the steaks were cooked perfectly. Pretty good wine list and interesting cocktails.

Robert

Steak is excellent and well cooked. Vegetables undercooked and risotto over cooked. Sides in general no well cooked for the value you spend. Under-poured cocktails just put a bad taste in an already expensive and mediocre food and service.
