“Very delicious food. Stopped by in the evening looking for a quick bite. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the al pastor which are my two favorite types of tacos. Both tasted really great, however the al pastor had a much better flavor overall.
I also tried the chips and salsa. Chips tasted like they are fried in house (in a good way) I didn't love the salsa too much. The texture and flavor was a little off for me. Maybe there are beans blended in? Not worth docking a star for this because overall I really enjoyed my meal and will be back again.
Atmosphere is very nice as well. The decor is welcoming and the staff was really friendly as well.“

Friendly greeting when we walked in, quick table service and the food is fresh and very flavorful! We each had Quesadilla's de Carne Asada (Steak) - and the serving sizes were big, we each only ate half and too the rest home.

“We chose La Colina Mexican Cantina in Warren NJ to celebrate 3 birthdays on 4/5/25. We were a party of 12 & tried a few of the beautifully crafted cocktails that were out of this world and so tasty we had to order more. We began our feast with a couple of platters of Nachos El Gordo that were huge and absolutely delicious and went perfectly with the chosen wines, margaritas, and assorted cocktails our family ordered. The cocktails were of the beautiful quality that we've only seen on TV during cooking shows or restaurant series. The edible flowers and the smoke emitting drinks were amazing. We were served by a wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waitress. She was able to answer every question and had plenty of patience for our crowd who were amazed by the menu. Especially the "Smart" menus that detail each item at the flip of your finger. What an upscale & impressive touch that is. After we ordered our entrees we enjoyed more cocktails and had some time to talk and enjoy the unbelievable decor that seemed to have an endless amount of thought and class put into the decor of this authentic Cantina. The service was beyond excellent and our meals came out hot and enticing and as pleasing to the eyes as it was to our pallets. This was authentic delicious, beautiful meals that made the party seem like were were enjoying fantastic Cantina style food right in Mexico. I highly recommend the burritos, enchiladas, the Mexican Caesar salad, fajitas and I'm sure that rest of the menu has to be outstanding if everything the 12 of us had was that delicious. Besides the wonderful service, drinks, food and authentic atmosphere, topping the celebration off was when the owner came over to our table , introduced himself and made sure everything was as fabulous as possible. Believe me it was. Then the Head Chef came out and asked if everything up to our expectations to which we all agreed this place out did every single Mexican restaurant we've ever been to. I highly recommend La Colina in Warren NJ and I know you won't be disappointed in the food , atmosphere or the service. We surely will be back !!!!“

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Staff were outstanding—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu.

We travel all USA from east to west and order Birria tacos every place I visit, these tacos were packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly satisfying.

The Torta Chilanga just as impressive—filled with juicy, well-seasoned ingredients.

Everything was delicious and clearly made with quality ingredients.

If you're looking for great Mexican food this is the place to go! I highly recommend it and will definitely be back if I find myself back in NJ.“

“No matter who you are or where you’re from, there’s a strong chance that you’re familiar with the meaning of “Taco Tuesday,” which exists across the US, from Los Angeles to small-town Tennessee, from food trucks in the barrios to high-end restaurants in hipster haunts. For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own.

Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or “The Little House Taqueria,” we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading “Tacos Open” and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor.

Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand.

We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn’t help but notice the trompo—the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to “in the style of the shepherd.” Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s.

The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn’t get enough. The portion was a healthy size.

The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable—we can recommend this place.“

As far as the food goes, I could blindfold myself and point to something random on the menu and still be blown away. Besides the typical crowd pleasers, do not sleep on the tortas, tostadas, or serrano salsa.

Seems to still be a local spot that has not been gentrified by 27 year olds that moved out of Hoboken and the city. I would go to war for Macho Nacho!“

“It’s funny that some of the reviews here complain about servers not speaking English...it’s an actual authentic Mexican restaurant what do you expect? The menus are in both English and Spanish and have descriptions if you are not familiar with Mexican food. I love this place and you really can’t beat the prices. Mr. C is always making sure we are happy with what he has prepared for us. Sometimes he will add his own little touch once he gets to know you and what you like. If you order the beef empanadas, ask them for their new homemade hot sauce. It's a perfect blend of sweet & heat to go with the pastry dough. Their plantains were a good addition of sweet to the dense of the meal. Their flan was the perfect size for a nice ending dessert to a very filling meal. I went with my fiancé and daughter so I always order family style , so we had a little of everything . I know it’s cold out but I love a good frozen margarita and it was perfect . “Had dinner in Casa Del Rey's beautiful outdoor patio. Beautifully decorated with lights, a water feature and lovely landscaping. The indoor atmosphere was gorgeous as well. I remember when this was originally Sol Mar and later, The Castle. Happy to see they've kept and enhanced the grand European inspiration. Service was great. The menu had lots of great choices - we had an entree (short ribs) and tapas/apps (baba ganoush, tortilla Espanhola, garlic shrimp). Loved the sangria and the desserts were perfect - dulce de leche and affogato. There is something for everyone. We'll definitely visit again!“
