He highly recommended the steak special which my husband ordered. All were delicious. We live a half hour away. We were glad we made the trip and look forward to returning. The food, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. A five star restaurant

They forgot one of my guests orders so for dinner and dessert they kept putting the wrong dishes down in front of people and we had to keep telling them where to place everything. They ended up comp'ing the entree, but for the price and the level of service, I wouldn't expect them to completely forget to enter one of the dishes ordered.

I took a friend to Serenade for her birthday dinner. We ordered the tasting menu and it was amazing, from start (corn soup) to finish (apple cobbler)! We both said it was one of the best restaurant meals we've had ever! Additionally, the service was flawless and the ambiance is lovely. Serenade is definitely a special place to go!

The pre-fixe offered a lot of selections which was great. Sadly they had run out of one of the specials and two of our meals, the lamb and the pork were both overcooked. My appetizer was delicious -the crabcake.

Started with cocktails which were excellent. The Cosmo is made with muddled cranberries instead of juice and added incredible taste. Espresso martini excellent as well. My tuna tartar was unusual with very thin slices of tuna which mixed with the other components to make a nice bite. Wife's salad was excellent. Sourdough rolls were excellent. I had the sole (not Dover) entree over risotto which was good but not great...fish slightly overcooked. Wife had the hanger steak over roasted root vegetables and mashed potatoes. Incredibly tender steak, not at all chewy, matched well with vegetables. Friends had the scallops special and were very pleased. Creme brûlée dessert OK, not great....should have gone with the chocolate tart. Service was outstanding. Unfortunately, the room is not at all sound insulated and there were two large parties who seemed to be competing for “loudest party award”. Fortunately this did not detract from our enjoyment of our companions. Overall, a very good restaurant with some choices better than others. Will definitely return.

Food was excellent. Our waiter wasn't the best, felt rush and wasn't very friendly. He never explained the menu and felt annoyed when we asked his recommendations. We sat upstairs at a corner table and felt excluded from the rest of the restaurant. Would recommend asking for a downstairs table. Overall it was fine but we aren't rushing back.

Last night Jennifer and I celebrated our anniversary with James, Nancy and their amazing staff. The quality of the service and decor combined with the amazing talent in the kitchen contributed to an exceptional night all around. The offerings we chose were excellent and surprisingly generous for a French influenced menu There aren't many restaurants that exceed expectations, Serenade does every time we are fortunate to get there!

Serenade and its chef are venerable. Success however brings an ever larger clientele, more demands on staff and increasing levels of boisterous noise. (Many times I could barely hear my spouse less than 3' away.) The food selection and preparation though was indeed delectable. The roasted rack of lamb was divine and a small grilled foie gras with a splash of peanut butter was surprisingly good. Service was attentive and prompt. Serenade, worthy of your dining options.
