Caffe Aldo Lamberti

I have given this restaurant several chances and each time it has something that disappoints. The food is taking a long time to arrive, even the complimentary bread arrives after the entrees, the salmon was ridiculously small, the waitress forgot the octopus we ordered, the meat was more cooked than desired, I will not return.

Our dinner was amazing . I messed up our reservation but it was fixed right away . Our server was so nice . The accordian player was so sweet and explained how he played . The Valet was great touch . My only complaint is the food took about an hour and half to come out. I would 100% go back though. Our bill for 2 people was around $150. 3 drinks. A soda a salad 2 entrees . For a nice date it was very resonable .

Long-time customer. Dinner at the bar. Also ordered a well known, reasonably priced tequila. Young bartender said they were out of stock but offered another option from the same distillery, which I accepted. Shocked at the price when presented with the bill. Bartender failed to mention her recommendation was triple the price of my initial preference. She said I should have known the difference. Seriously???

So disappointing.

My wife and I passed by this Caffe at lunchtime and although it was a little on the expensive side, we thought we'd give it a try. I can sum up our experience in one work: Disappointment.

I'm not sure why reviewers are so positive about this restaurant. Maybe they believe if it's expensive, the food has to be good. To say it was average is giving the food more credit than it deserves. There are a lot of very good Italian restaurants with much better fare at any price.

My wife ordered the Capellini Positano, a capellini pasta dish with jumbo lump crab. Mostly capellini, very little crab. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was oily and shouldn’t have been.

On the plus side, service was excellent. Just can’t say the same for the meals.

Extremely overpriced for basic food and basic ambiance. If you're celebrating a birthday and bring a cake, make sure you request to cut it yourself. If they cut it, they will sneakily add a $20 charge on to your bill just for CUTTING YOUR CAKE! If you wanna spend a lot of money for average food, this is your place!

I don't know what the big deal is here. The female bartender was rude. Our waitor was rude. Most staff you bumped into was rude. The hostess was nice. The food was average. Nothing I experienced made me want to go back. Skip it.

The food was good, but the service was so poor I don't feel compelled to visit again. My server was loud and combative. Started with appetizers that never came because he didn't put the order in for it. When I asked about it, his immediate comment was combative, saying that I didn't correct him when he repeated my order back to me. He repeated it to me, I said yes and ordered more items. He repeated those back to me, and I confirmed. I didn't know we were starting from the first order again on the 2nd repeat. Next, another server prepared a birthday flare for a nearby table but lit the flare close by my toddler's head. We were both startled, and his comment was, Relax, it's not a bomb. Almost exploded myself at that but decided to let it go. He came back later to apologize if he startled me. I told him it was more that he lit a flare by my 2 yr olds head. Of course it startled us.. who does that? Next, our mains came out, and I couldn't figure out some of the dishes. When I asked the server, he said it was the fish dish I ordered. I ordered a pasta dish, fish dish, and chicken dish. I was very clear I wanted an array of foods. He kept insisting I ordered 2 fish dishes, and the one I ordered doesn't exist. I asked him to bring me a menu and he immediately starts with, they must have just added this dish. The price difference was a 15 upcharge on the wrong dish... same dish but chicken and not fish. My receipt did not have this corrected, and when I tried to call him over, he looked my way then walked away. Not sure if he thought I would just pay for his mistake if he walked away. When he did finally come back, he looked at me like he was annoyed. Other poor service things but don't even want to talk about the experience anymore. It was my birthday dinner, and I am trying to remember it as pleasant despite this experience.

It’s a beautiful place and the staff was great but we ordered dinner at 7 n we did not receive it u til 9:17 and honestly that long wait for my food turn me off from the whole place I won’t be back

A lovely birthday lunch for a friend. Seafood salad was awesome, limoncello cake delicious. Our server Patrick was excellent.
