Hên Vietnamese Restaurant

Decided to give this restaurant a try with my friends since they had good reviews. Don't know how... because the soups taste like boiled water. Straight boiled water. We paid close to $30 for a bowl of boiled water.

They charge you an extra $4 for "Deluxe" Bun Bo Hue and an extra $6 for toppings but don't tell you or list it on the menu. You just have a nice surprise when you get the check.
None of this would've mattered if the food tasted good, but it wasn't even close. I would've had a better meal at McDonalds even if their cashier threw the mcnuggets in my face.

Don't recommend this place whatsoever. Especially if you're Asian and you're used to actually good BBH.

Erm this is a no go sorry. My Asian ancestry could never make me go back to this place ever again. 6 dollars for 2 pieces of tendon???? Preposterous. The waiter kept insisting on the deluxe version and never told us that there was a 4 dollar up charge. The soup was flavorless, the noodles were overcooked, and the siracha was not even name brand. Last thing before I head out, we ordered seafood pho and it said it was 16 dollars on the menu but it was actually 22 dollars on the receipt.

Wait staff was excellent - food speed was actually too fast…we would have preferred a bit slower. Appetizers and vermicelli dishes didn’t benefit from the speed. - just so so - my guess is that it would have been better if we went for entrees instead. We will come back and try their Specialties.

We live nearby and never tried this place, the food was amazing! Fabio the server was fabulous! Great food and a lovely atmosphere!

Their food are soooo good! We had the lemongrass soup and grilled pork slices. Serving is big, very worth the price and it’s not even expensive! The meals are flavorful and amazing. The people working there were nice and friendly too. Will definitely go back again, excited to try their other dishes! :)

It's hidden in a strip mall but deserves all the stars for good food and courteous staff
We had Banh Xeo- steamed rice cakes with shrimp-black bean sauce. Devoured in seconds😋

Steak pho was awesome
Stir fried chicken with lemongrass yummy
The lemonades were blindingly sweet tho. We didn't like those

Our server was this polite, smiling guy he made our experience great.
Will definitely be back

Nice restaurant! Food was decent, but not spectacular. The bahn mi was super small and not filling at all. I would recommend the other options instead. I’d definitely go back though

Summer shrimp roll I got,the veggie in side is not fresh…and they gave me main dish first then gave me appetizers then is my drink…disposable beside durian smoothie

The best Vietnamese you can get in Philly or South Jersey. Everything is always excellent. We make it out to Hen at least once a month

BYOB, kid friendly. Started with shrimp summer rolls and Hen Wings (great crispy style wing). Kids enjoyed egg noodle stir fry and shrimp fried rice. Adults enjoyed PHO on this ice cold weather. Always a great experience and we'll continue to frequent again and again!

I am long overdue to share my love for this amazing restaurant. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2019, and every dish I’ve ordered has been nothing short of perfect. From the delicious, flavorful food to the refreshing lemonades and the consistently great service, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
