Amazing service, food came out fast and was so fresh. I got the ceviche and pork tacos and it was 10/10. Don't forget to BYOB!

We saw all the amazing reviews and decided to try this place. I am not a foodie by any stretch of the imagination, but this food was honestly nothing to write home about. It wasn't bad and we didn't get bubble guts from it, but it was just decent. The part that bothered us was the service. The servers made us feel like they did not want to be there and they did not want us there, either. It was very strange. The virgin margaritas were delicious, tho! Maybe we had bad luck and went on a day they all had hangovers, but service is everything!

Authentic Mexican food. Not American tex-mex, so don't go looking for that here. I lived in LA for 8 years and this food reminds a lot of places I used to frequent there. I had asada burrito but looking forward to trying their mole dishes.

Complete hole in the wall in the best way possible! Water served in repurposed tequila bottles, since it's BYOB. I am so glad we saw a previous review that mentioned they serve virgin margaritas and you can bring your own tequila. DO. IT. BYO tequila and order their virgin margaritas. Your life will be changed. So fresh and so tasty, and you can add how much or how little tequila you want. A dream come true! This was perfect for Father's Day dinner for my family, since our dad loves authentic Mexican food. If you want something legit, look no further. Everything we ordered was delicious. Even the churros were amazing! Service was mentioned in many reviews but we didn't really have an issue, nothing seemed to take too long. Hope to go back another time, maybe when I don't have to drive home!

We thought this would be better. It was just ok. I had the chicken fajita which tasted ok but not enough tortillas were served with it and no sauce for more flavor. It was served with a mini side salad which was very fresh. Also, no sweet and lo for the iced tea.

I went here with family upon recommendation from a friend so I had high expectations. The establishment: From my first impressions, the store had a "settle" Mexican theme with hints of elegance with the silverware and tableware. Its small interior can hold few small parties of about 4 people. The store is located on a busy main road with ample parking that's shared with nearby stores. The food: We ordered the appetizer sampler, Birria tacos and taco sampler, which includes 2 Al pastor, 1 steak, and 2 cow tongue tacos. The appetizer did it's job well however, the chicken in the flauta was very dry. The taco sampler was tasteful and I appreciate that they were not greasy at all! The steak taco however, was also very dry and lacked flavor. The Birria tacos are a must try! (Point taken off for the dry meat.) The drink: The horchatas are amazing here! I couldn't stop drinking it, wished I ordered two. The staff: The waitress is A1! She's the hostess, waitress, and busser so tip her well! She was working her butt off when we got seated and by the time we finished our food. I would recommend others to check this local spot out!

La cita is solid. The one time I have been resulted in consistent food for a great price. It's not big so recommend parties of 4 or smaller, but is definitely authentic and tasty.

Came in on a snowy evening in the mood for some authentic Mexican food. I had heard some good things about this place from some South Jersey locals, and I decided I'd give it a try. The space is pretty small, but still cozy and cutely decorated. We were greeted by a server who gave us some menus. After quite some time, she came over to take beverage orders and service out table. I would definitely say that La Cita isn't too focused on the quick or friendly customer service category. Once she had come over, we had given her both our food and beverage orders. Our Empanada appetizer came out about 10 minutes after we ordered it. I did really enjoy this appetizer, which had Chicken Tinga as the filling of the day. It was very crispy, flaky, and fresh-tasting. It also had a decent amount of flavor to it. I also tried a Horchata beverage, which I felt was very good and authentic-tasting. After about 25 minutes from our appetizer, the food had come out. I had ordered a mixed fajita entree containing shrimp, chicken, and steak. Like most restaurant fajitas, the platter came out hot and sizzling. The meat also sat on top of a bed of peppers and onions. It was also accompanied by some corn tortillas, rice and beans, and sour cream and cheese that I had asked for. I had also ordered a side of Sweet Plantains. They came out drizzled with fresh crema and cheese. As for the taste of my entree, I felt that the fajitas were very lacking in spice and flavor. The meat quality was mediocre, and some of my steak slices had chewy and fatty pieces that I had to pull off. The rice and beans were also somewhat flavorless. I did enjoy the sweet plantains, and found them above average compared to places that I have tried. Overall, I didn't find my experience to be anything above average. Service was OK, and food was also subpar compared to other Mexican spots that I've tried. I expected a bit better for a small-owned, authentic-looking Mexican spot.

Ordered curb side pick up. Came out exactly when it was supposed to. Burritos are a really good size and love they have vegetarian option. Guacamole was so fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back

Everything on the menu is amazing. My absolute favorite are the tamales. I've never had anything so amazing from a Mexican restaurant. If you want traditional Mexican cuisine, you need to go to La Cita!!

First time here. Heard good things and they didn't disappoint. Taco sampler was tasty. Lava bowl with shrimp and the shrimp and mussels dish was also very good. I would definitely go back.

The food was very good, but they don't serve Cervesa. It looked like some people had brought their own wine, so some preparation might make the experience even better. The food was authentic and you could tell that there was a legitimate Mexican cheese in the dish. I had the enchiladas with verde sauce. I wished that I had given the mole sauce a try, because it looked good.
